View Full Version : Temporary Moderator: Shinboners
FYI Shinboners will be moderator during the finals. He will be able to keep things civil in the event of boil-over from other team boards.
Remember this is a board for Port supporters and those who wish to discuss Port-related issues in a constructive manner.
Normal rules still apply - re-read the terms of use if you are unsure.
Basically no overly personal, racial or similar abuse. No swearing or peurile language.
The Port board is rarely a source of complaints so Shinboners should have little to worry about.

To the Port fans - if there are any posts by non-Port people that you want removed, just send me an e-mail or PM and it will be removed, no questions asked. However, unless you let me know, I will let things go (I'll just assume that you're happy take on outsiders in an argument).
To non-Port people, you're second class citizens here. I don't care how much abuse the Port people give out to you, it's their turf and you play by their rules.

I would of gladly given my time & "expertise" to serve as moderator for the Port board but for some reason was not even asked,:confused:

I'll vote for that, on the proviso that PA 1870 can be moderator for the Crows board. ;)

I'd be willing to bet that there hasn't been the same problems that are associated with the North Melb board as there has been with the Port and Adelaide boards.

Bluey's reluctance to make any new moderators has more to do with The Shinboners Decision than the need for any `fairness' on the Port Adelaide board.
I think the main point is that Shinners is already a mod.
Bluey obviously doesn't want new mods, and is just creating one for the finals series, as there will no doubt be abusive posters from others teams on this board.
If he believes that another person is ready to step up, he will say so, but I think that it would be too short of notice for him to decide such a thing ....

I think it is pretty obvious why there is a neutral mod. If u have a Port mod then they will obviously be very biased...seems pretty damn fair and obvious...can't believe there is a discussion about it!

It's Port's board, it is supposed to be biased, why would you want a neutral mod? I would have thought you would have wanted a moderator who can tell when people are just kidding around and when they are overstepping the mark as they are regularly on the board.
Is Sabre a neutral moderator for the Freo board? If you don't think Macca or Porthos would be good moderators and would be petty and biased then I think there is something wrong with you.

Of the 17 team boards, 10 are moderated by supporters of that club, 6 are not(which includes Crows and Port) and not sure who mod of the Bulldogs board supports....
