I got told today that the players were so dirty on themselves after last nights game but Matty Primus said that the hunger they have had all year is nothing compared to the hunger within the team at this moment.
Last year's Hawthorn loss has had Port wanting to prove a point all year and it seems to me that the Brisbane minor pemiership win washed away a lot of our hunger, is this what we needed to be hungry for September glory?
Our last 6 weeks of the year we won but we never played with that same hunger that we had mid season, I mean that rd 7 Brisbane game shattered us and after that game we played mean football, are we going to show a bigger hunger now after this weekend?

What doesn't kill us can only make us stronger. I don't think we will go out in straight sets. In fact when we go up to Brisbane we will be like Collingwood were to us. Under rated and with a fire burning.

The media will claim there is only one premiership contender left and if they are to be challenged it will be the Pies. We still have plently left. Like PORT POWER said the hunger is back and this time there is only a week until we redeem ourselves. The boys will do us proud this weekend.

Essendon will most likely have Hird, Lloyd out. I am not going take this game as a dead cert. Although I would like to tahnk West Coast for ensuring that Essendon played a very physical game. Although we are talking about Essendon, who should never been written off.

This week all the players should be shown the Hawthorn game from last year and Friday nights game every day to ensure that on friday night they do not choke!

Well Blight may an interesting call regarding finals football during the crows game when he said you have to be the hunters not the hunted. Maybe there is something in it. Then again it could be one of the commentary cliches.

If there were insipid efforts they should not be accepted but maybe some players have the weight of atonement weighing too heavily on them as it is. How you get this mental state right, between being to hungry and too complacent, is beyond me.

Chances are we might be underdogs or even money against the bombers so that might help.
