By far the stupidest man to captain an international team.
Talented but wildly inconsistent

its hard to judge him when he plays for such a poor international team. averages 25 which is pretty crap but i think he could be a 40+ batsmen if he was born or raised in england or somewhere else (assuming he could get into the team).
He's got loads of talent, but being from bangladesh there is no challenging first class system to test his talents, and then when gets into international cricket he is always under pressure and gets no support.
Hard one to judge - he's definetaly the most talented batsmen in the bangladesh line up, but whether they would mean he would be a succesful bastsmen playing for another nation i don't know.

A bit harse... but he is talented but inconsistent. He either bats fast and gets out or bats slow and gets out for a low score.
A dud with a few flashy shots

Agreed - Would benefit from a stint in the Shield here or the conterpart in England.
the ICC really need to sort Bangladesh out because they have talent - just no resources.

The stupidest batsman in the world
Has heaps of talent but throws it away playing stupid shots and doing stupid things
Sure, it comes off once every 30 digs, and it'd look fantastic when it does, but you can't live off a career on a couple of innings

Bangladesh has heap of talent but No resources - I agree Capitalist. He tried country cricket and it didnt work. It would be great if him came over here and played in SS!

Best looking pull shot in the game. By a mile. Is only 24 so still has a long time before he peaks. Will be quality when he does and probably average 25-40 for three or so years. He has a seriously tough gig at the moment

just on that i sprouted out an idea a few years ago (not on these boards) but to people in official capacities about developing the game in countries like Bangladesh, Kenya, UAE etc,.
my idea was to partner up a province or county or state with a national team. so for instance, new south wales with Bangladesh, victoria with Nepal (good underage cricketers), essex with Holland, and so on...
and the basic idea was for those states/provices/counties to fly out a couple of guys a year from their partner country, arrange a VISA and a job, and set these guys up with a local cricket club. The grade cricket scene in Australia is so strong and has so much depth it would be brilliant for guys from these countries to get regular competitive games. I've know doubt the talent is there, particularly at the top end. But what these countries lack is a regular test. And obviousbly if the guys were good enough they could play FC cricket for the province they were in.... Even if they weren't they would still come to training once or twice a week, and generally benefit from learning how things are done in the more developed countries.
It's obviousbly not as simple as it sounds and there are a number of complex issues than that as there are many visa issues to be looked at, the prospect of guys coming out to a country and fleeing (although this can happen with anything like those guys at the Olympics or anyone a working holiday visa).... also worth mentioning partnering up the right countries with the right provinces - i.e. stronger countries like Bangladesh, Kenya, Holland would partner up with stronger states from Australia and England.... No point partnering up Italy with an Australian state as the cricketer would be way out his depth (well maybe not in South Australia, but everywhere else ;)).
The costs aren't exactly over the top. The only realy cost is a bit of time to organise and the flights and VISA. VISA's are cheap as chips and could even be used as a payback scheme which the cricketer pays back 10% of his VISA cost for his first ten weeks of work. And by partnering up English counties with European countries, the costs of flights are near nothing. Everything else would be paid for by the crickter afterwards. It's not like they're coming out living the life of luxury. They'd just be another working traveller who's been given a bit of a leg up to play and train and develop their cricket. It would also be an experience for a young fella to come and live in another country for 8 or 9 months - aside from their cricket, i've no doubt it would develop them as a person.
It would be hard to see the Subcontinent countries coming on board whilst the West Indian board doesn't even have enough money to support itself, but nevertheless i thought it was something that could be looked at as a venture between Australia, New Zealand, England and South Africa (for which there are nearly 40 provinces within those 4 countries).
Anyway, i did mention that to a few people who i thought might be interested but their response was, yeah that does sound interesting, as in "yeah sounds good, but tell someone else who could be assed"....
Its not a bad idea, with the ICC putting all this funding toward developing the nations I don't know why it can't be done - You could even go as far as setting up a team especially designed to hold players from developing nations - Grade Cricket in Sydney and Melbourne would be better than that of some countries
