i know this is a bit of a name drop, however a mate and i recently went to the british open at muirfield. (golf)

anyway, i wore my maroon roys jumper, as i always believe we need publicity, and he decided to follow and wear his richmond TAC jumper. we had a bet, that first one recognised would be the beneficiary of the first shouted pint in the beer tent.

i would say 1 and a half minutes after walking into the gate, a guy comes up to my mate and says "well, i'm not going to acknowledge you"......(as he then turns to me)....."however i'm always happy to shake hands with a roys supporter." we almost cried in unison "go lions"

as fitzroy boys we are a special breed of well respected supporters. this winter in europe my roys jumper is going to get a workout.

Well of course we're a special breed ... THE breed in fact. The only breed aligned alongside the almighty. No surprises, there! Its reassuring to know from the bloke who approached you that the old Royligion is alive and well.

Had the same thing at the Cricket (Headingly) last year Muggers, had people singing the Roys Theme song, it started off well.
And also at Edgebaston, and I wear my FFC t/shirt every wear and also my windcheater, along with my RRRC top, always get a good response.
