View Full Version : Tupac and Biggie the truth
the REAL dingo

The Los Angeles Times is reporting a disturbing
conclusion to their investigation of Tupac Shakur's death. The highlights are as follows:
1) The shooting was carried out by a Compton gang called the Southside Crips to avenge the beating of one it's members by Shakur and others a few hours earlier.
2) Orlando Anderson, the Crip whom Shakur had attacked fired the fatal shots. Las Vegas police discounted Anderson as a suspect initially and interviewed him only once. He was later killed in what the police called and "unrelated" gang shooting.
3) The murder weapon was supplied by New York rapper Notorious B.I.G. (Biggie) who agreed to pay the Crips $1 million for
killing Shakur. Biggie and Tupac had been feuding for more than a year, exchanging insults on recordings, award shows and concerts. Biggie was gunned down six months later in Los Angeles. That killing remains unsolved.
Most disturbing of course is the LA Times conclusion
that Biggie was directly involved in the planning and financing of
Tupac's death but there are rumors circulating that according to those who were in the room and are now talking there were other people who are well known also in the room with Biggie and the Crips.
This all stinks to low hell and the fact that other
names will soon surface I'm sure has people shaking in their boots. The story was reported by LA Times staff writer Chuck Phillips. The article is part 1 of a 2 part series featured in today's LA Times.

Disagree. Tupac was one of the best rappers of all time. Don't just look at the crap hecame out with after jail, look before that. Still I Rise, Strictly 4 My ******, 2pacalypse Now and Me Against the World are great albums. Fair enough if you don't like rap, but 'Pac was one of the best.
Biggie was serviceable at best.

Rap is terrible. If you wanted anything decent at least N.W.A was worth it.

Agreed, all rap is crap, the only people who actually listened to it in Australia were white try hards trying to be cool by pretending they were black.

Today's mainstream rap is deplorable. I wouldn't even call it rap. Underground stuff from less known people is generally pretty good. M29, why do you think rap is terrible, seriously?

Time to put this thread back on track.
If what the article says is true, then it was a case of 'what goes around comes around,' I guess.

Teh article gets facts wrongs right off the bat. Biggie didn't record a proper diss track to Tupac, and rarely even discussed him in interviews.
the only remotely disrespectful thing he said was that 'Tupac has started living like his character Birdie in above the rim, we used to be tight and we were he never acted like a gangsta or a thug then, Suge's in his ear too much"
there were multiple members of the LAPD on the Death Row payroll, Tupac was going to leave Death Row, Suge can be seen on video camera moments before Tupac died telling him to remove his bulletproof vest, Suge drove past 3 other hospitals before finding the one he took Pac to. the LAPD then had Biggie knocked off to take the heat off Suge and make out like it was some gang war.
Think of this: Biggie was driving in a four 4x4 entourage, a lone gunman drove right up to the exact seat Biggie was in and fired shots. LAPD were doing security at the event biggie was killed at.

p.s. Tupac was mroe of an icon than Biggie, but Biggie was much better at being an mc.

You say that and then post this.

Woops. My mistake. At least my mistake wasn't integral to my whole argument though. ;)

So was it a revenge attack over a beating? Or was it a highly planned hit and the ''beating'' was an excuse?
And was Orlandos subsequent death to stop him talking?
Oh and rap... meh just another musical form ....like Jazz and Blues some I like some I dont. Still hold Grandmaster Flash and the Furious 5s The Message as one of the better ones. And Coolios Gangsta'sParadise

I could care less what happened to these blokes. They were given a golden opportunity, not only for themselves but for their culture, and they **********ed it all away down the drain.
I agree with the Chris Rock quote, these guys are known being mythologized since their deaths. 5 minutes of reading on the net will show you that they were only small time thugs who lucked into being in the right place at the right time. It’s a damn shame their negative lifestyles are still looked on in admiration by many.

what was negative about Biggie's lifestyle?
Biggie was a lover not a hater.
Tupac WAS a lover, than turned into a gangsta who always got fukced up the arse by Suge.
One was smart and one was not.

Yeah I tihnk Tupac is definitely dead. I've seen photos, and it's pretty bloody hard to fake your own death with no money, and Pac was getting outright extorted by Suge at the time of his death.
Getting paid in cars or clothes etc instead of money.
Pac was about to leave Death Row and start his own label, ending his affiliation with Jimmy Iovine and Suge - they would lost too much, he was worth more dead.

Nas was involved in there somewhere wasn't he...
From what I;ve read, Snoop was alosm eant to be "killed" in gang-related stuff as to immortalize him and make suge all the money, but the shooter was killed before he could get to snoop. next in line was gunna be ja rule, but then he got bent over by 50 and the unit...
Could people please take the time out to either research the evidence of these two through books all thorugh the multitude of Movied that have been released. TRhere are to many people on here saying uneducated things.
Tupac was brought up as a golden child, but was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
And you gotta love Biggie and the song about the cop with the doughnut.
This thread has inspired me to get out my albums of Biggie.
