What are the songs that make #1 but you don't know anyone who actually likes them
Shakira comes to my mind...her voice irritates the hell out of me and my friends hate her too!

Most number one songs fade away and get resigned to peoples collections in the 'oh my god I can't beleive I bought that' pile.
Most of the classic songs that have longevity never made it to number one.
Those star girls that look like power rangers was number one on video hits last week. How it got there is beyond me.

Damn BT, soon as I saw the title of this thread that one came to mind.
What about Elton John's "Something About The Way You Look Tonight" that was number 1 for record numbers of weeks because on the B SIDE was the tribute "Candle In The Wind" to Diana.
I also hate Shakira. Passionately.

My uncle is a Celine Dion fan which is really worrying as he used to be a fan of some good stuff (Hendrix, early Stevie Wonder, Sly Stone). I just hope the 'I like Celine Dion' gene doesn't make it in my genotype.

I hate pretty much every number 1 song. In fact i pretty much hate every top 50 song. I stopped listening to the radio and watching the top 50 on Rage about 3 years ago. Waste of time.
