Probably the only change would be someone to come in for Mead. His stats of 0 kicks, 0 mark, 0 handballs, 0 tackles, 0 frees, 0 H/O, 0-0 and 1 clanger didn't make for great reading. I thought he deserved one last chance but frankly he hasn't shown that he is still up to it (AFL level) in any of his return games.

I guess the contenders are Bassett (if a defender is deemed to be needed), Che or if another tall is needed either Lade or Brogan. I guess Wakes may be half a chance to be included if you believe some reports but i doubt it just yet.

well ladey as reported on the power site got B.O.B so that's going to give him confidence, i think that with Fletcher out maybe we should bring in Ladey to stretch essendon's defence even more and because we are playing at footy park it might be good for him to experience a final as well.
well considering that meady's stats were basically zilch then we aren't going to lose anything by bringing a forward into the side

CCC would have to get a chance wouldn't he.
He was our best player in the Hawthorn final last year, and he usually plays pretty well against the Bombers.

If he doesn't get a game this week, i think we may never see him pull on the Power guernsey again.

Mead and French out, CCC and Lade in.

i don't agree on Frenchy being dropped what's your reason for that wishinman???
I think that he has been a great back up to matty all season and has popped up at times to kick goals for us.
i'm only suggesting that ladey comes back in for meady to give us another forward option to stretch the essendon defence even more now that fletcher wont be playing

French has played ok, but IMO i just feel that he does not do enough. Yes he has suprised a few times, but i think Lade would be pretty hungry for a game, as would CCC. Can anyone remember CCC in last years finals, he knows this will be his last chance.
To get both of these back 2 have to be dropped, and the only 2 that i would contemplate dropping are Mead and French , unless someone else is not 100% fit - Primus??? In which case we will need both French and Lade.

interesting point there about CCC's game against hawthorn in the final, i remember it his game was fantastic, also considering that we are playing essendon will work in his favour playing against his old side, wont it just be gr8 on friday night to see wangas, dimma, kingsley and maybe CCC front up against the bombers, can't wait ;)

Get in a shrink and a different prematch talk because Williams doesn't know how to give one for a finals match.

Well, whoever's brought in(if that happens) it won't be Broges following the SANFL's decision to suspend him.
I agree with you powergirlluv17, I can't see any reason for dropping French. I would have to say Mead is the one on the thinnest ice here. Much as I have berated him all year, I think we have to bring CCC back. At least if for no other reason than to provide defenders with another marking headache in the forward lines.

I'm not one of Barnaby's biggest fans but he would be unlucky to get dropped at this stage. The main problem with Barney is he either plays pretty well or does absolutely nothing, hopefully he decides to do something this week. I doubt whether Lade will come in at the expense of French but he may come in for Meady. If Llyod doesn't play i see no need for another tall defender and so either Che or Lade may get recalled for Mead, probably Che IMO.

IN Lade, Wakelin
OUT Mead, Poulton

CCC might be a chance also.

Again Poults would be most unlucky to get dropped. I guess he is in the same boat as Guerra, in that they have played pretty well this year but are probably, along with Mead, the guys who are 'under the pump' in terms of selection.

Goo and Poults out!! No way. We need every hard nut we can get. And surely Poults couldn't kick that badly again. Could he??

He has in the past, but hopefully he will be given another go this week, he deserves it and his kicking form will return.
