Anyone go? Looked pretty good, there wasn't as much stuffing around as there normally is. P.Burgoyne went off early, but apparently is OK.

Lade and Brogan seemed to be specifically training for a full forward role IMO.

Wakelin participated in the entire training, in sneakers rather than footy boots, and looked pretty good.

Tredrea spent extra time having set shots at goal but sad to say he was no better than on the weekend. Hopefully the extra practise will pay off when it counts.

Unfortunately didn't go on Wednesday as i had an appointment/meeting that ran over time and didn't finishing in the city untill 3.30 (boo!).

Caught a little bit of todays training the squad just had a light run, not much to report.

Tredders kicking (at goal) at training needs to be done under more pressure IMO, what is the point of just kicking 20-30 set shots under no pressure?

The 20-30 set shots are the ones that are causing trouble. I do agree there does need to be pressure but not physical pressure; Tredders is just as good if not better than most big men with shots on the run. Trying to set up some mental pressure, maybe pitting him against Dew in a shootout may be the idea. Or giving him the kick-ins at intraclub games.

When i said 20-30 i meant thats how many shots at goal he does after training, not the distance. Although the majority of the time it is also from 20-30 meters, which i agree is about right, probably around 30+ would be more correct and more useful.

I just think some one should be at him yelling and screaming and generally being annoying and trying to put him off. Rather than just simply going through the montions all the time.

His field kicking under pressure is pretty good most of the time, but it could just be the mental pressure which gets too him at stop ball situations, perhaps doing some kicking in for trail games, preseason games could help.

Sorry, looks like maybe I misunderstood you a bit. But it appears that we pretty much agree in that Tredders should be taking set shots but it would be better to have someone trying to put him off or maybe to inject some competition into his practice.
