I was just watching the 1981 semi against Collingwood.

What a fantastic game!

Certainly emphasises my point that Lee Murnane should have become an absolute Fitzroy legend.

Agreed.

You sort of wonder what would have happened to us if we had have won. I reckon we could have beaten Geelong in the Preliminary Final, but probably would have got flogged by Carlton in the GF.

The flow on in bandwagon jumpers would have given us a bit more cash and with a Premiership in 1983 and 1986 our situation would have been a bit different.

I was still barracking even though I knew the result last night!!v

We played well against the 'baggers in those days (beat 'em the previous start at the Junction), so had we made it all the way through...who knows?

And yes, Lee Murnane deserves to be a legend! ;)
