View Full Version : How the worm turns
I'm laughing at how a lot of North supporters on BigFooty & calling up on radio are bagging Denis Pagan. They acuse him of being disloyal.
Oh what short memories they have aboult loyalty .:o :o
As the HERALD-SUN said the other day,"Will the last person out, please turn the light off". :D :D :D

It does, seriously.
A couple of weeks ago, when I voiced my opinion on their boards, I felt that Pagan would stay, based on loyalty. And short of an actual official piece of news, I have been shown to be wrong about that.
Yet having said that, the Kangaroo fans who are venting their collective spleen have every right to feel betrayed.
Cheers,
William

NorthBhoy,
There's no need to take things so seriously mate!! All we're saying is that Dennis Pagan has walked out on the Kangaroos, showing no loyalty whatsoever just like Leigh Colbert did to us a couple of years ago. I actually feel for you guys... that's a terrible thing to happen and now you know how most Geelong fans felt immediately after we heard of Leigh Colbert jumping ship!! ;)
The thing that we're amused at is listening to some of your fans whinge and complain about Pagan walking out, yet they're probably the ones who jump down Geelong supporters throats, accusing us of being bitter!! ;);)
Do you see the irony here???
Cheers!!

There is some truth to what you are saying no doubt.
Just making an observation that you blokes are not right in the head.
Nothing more.

But we will not whinge next year, or the year after, or the year after that, or the ye.....you get the picture.
He was your captain. He was our greatest ever coach. Don't compare the loss for God's sake. It doesn't reflect too well on your intelligence.
Difference? We will bounce back. We always do.
Why?
North have courage.

North might have courage, but you don't, as you seem to resort to little attacks on people's intelligence when you receive a few negative comments. Grow up.
I never compared them, I said it was a little taste of what we went through. They are very similar incidents if you care to think about it.

They are slightly simmilar. We are having a whinge ATM, but will not be doing so in 3 years time.

NorthBhoy,
For goodness sake mate... some North supporters "perceive" that Geelong supporters are bitter about Leigh Colbert leaving, as that is the only satisfaction you guys will get from the trade and we both know that Colby has done stuff all for your team due to injury and poor form, and right at this minute Geelong have got more out of the trade than the Kangaroos ever will!! ;)
The truth is that most Geelong supporters, (especially the more knowledgable ones) recognise that Leigh Colbert leaving our club was the best thing that could have happened, both for the players we picked up in the trade, team moral, our club's culture, etc etc.
Geelong are better for Colbert leaving... make no mistake about it!
End of story.
Go Cats!!

Stuff all eh?
****. Must have been had my eyes closed all season when he was our best defender after Archer, held down and dominated games at CHB, and even through in a BOG against your mob. Ahh well, hope I taped some of them.
The rest of the tripe you wrote is your opinion. Can't really argue with it.
BTW, we "percieve" you are bitter? Percieve? You have to be joking.

NorthBhoy,
Thank you for your nice comments.
I guess some people are intelligent enough to post their thoughts without having to resort to putting down other people's posts.... you are most definately not one of those people!!
If you're happy with Colby's performances at your club then that's good for you. (and I'm not just talking this season!) To be honest, I couldn't give a rats arse about him as he isn't playing for our club... see, not all Geelong fans are bitter or still hung up on Leigh Colbert leaving as life goes on and we have a new group of young players to take us forward!!
I will admit that he played well down at Skilled Stadium in round 18, but while you're watching your tapes, whip out the round 3 game at Colonial Stadium where he was absolutely pathetic!! ;)
Lets just agree to disagree on this shall we?? :)
Go Cats!!

Who boos Peter Bell?
Peter Bell got a standing ovation when he won the Best and Fairest after he had announced he was leaving the club. Did you know this, or have you said this purposely so I can make an utter fool out of you?

Heinz was also founded in 1869: It seems that Heinz Baked Beans has more of a chance of giving the Geelong Football Club and all its supporters the S H I T S in the Future then the Kangaroos do !

Seindude, don't be nice to him. He's an idiot.
As for the Crows, hope they get their arses kicked.
Just quietly,
Earlier in this thread there was talk of Colbert. I am related to the most fanatical mother-daughter fans of the Geelong Football Club (can anyone guess who they are from that description), and the are very bitter about the Colbert situation...
"We supported him all year while he was injured and then he just ****ed off"
Just one of their bleatings!

Yeah great for Pikey :) We had to let him go, he was causing trouble, remember the team is bigger than the individual.
Why would we be bitter about Pikey?
Move on please

John Barnes, Sean Denham, Robert Scott and Greg Williams all left Geelong to win premierships elsewhere. Seems like leaving the Cats can be a pretty good career move.
