G'day hawkers, I am a very keen horse racing fan, been following it for years, do any of you guys own a racehorse?
I know a few of the hawk players own or have shares in racehorses, would be keen to see if any of the posters on here are involved in the game at all..

Nah not looking to go in a share, I am already in one.

Had a share in a horse called 'Love a Trick' a few years back - won a few races on country tracks - Colac, Cranbourne pipped at the Valley - the Syndicate sold it off a 3-4 years ago and it has done well in Newcastle under the new owners.
Made a few $'s on it - but more to the point had a great time 'at the races'

yer,had a few over the years at times (about 4 and a picnic hack which i had the most fun with,won 9 races/1 provincial)........nothn any good unfortunatly:(
Got to expencive ,so switched to the dish lickers for a while,trained my self ,and had a bit of luck (ran second to brett lee at warnambool classic)

Got some nice pups, a couple of Bombastic Shiraz dogs set to hit the track in a month or so as well as 10 other Bombastic pups (10 months) we bred ourselves. Always on the lookout for good Hawthorn names if anyone has a suggestion.

Nah your right mate, the oldest 2 are from Hyde Park and the pups from our Big Daddy Cool/ Sound the Alarm bitch, who yes was unraced but with this breeding who knows. Everyone seems to have an opinion on unraced bitches.

Bombastic Shiraz was a champion dog, loved how he always gave the other dogs a head start then he would run them down, great chaser.
Got the best name for 1 of your dogs, call him Shotta Shiraz (Shot of shiraz) goes well with your BF nick :p

Tried the name buddy, couldn't get it. Couldn't even get Hodgetofranklin.
