Great win today, Werribee played well, but a David Mensch inspired Geelong will play on next week.
Should be good to get some revenge against Port Melbourne.
Go Cats!

It will be a great match next week and a chance for Geelong's young players to get a taste of success. :)

Sam Mitchell of Hawthorn won it with 10 BOG's from 11 games played, and the other game he got 1 vote... not a bad effort that.
Cheers!!

It all sounds a bit unrealistic! How do get 10 BOG out of 11? Box Hill had a crap year too!
Menschy or my man Bartlett were't even close.

Sorry to interupt.
Does anyone know where I could view all votes given, and the totals for each club?

 BIT SLACK!!
Good news for the GF.Mitchell White was found guilty of striking, but only copped a reprimand.
Gary Ablett should be available, which would leave Andrew Merriman as the unlucky player to miss out.

Great news! It seems like the cards are falling our way for once in the finals!!! :D
Bad luck to Andrew Merriman though, but well done on a great season to him!!!

On 3AW after the Werribee match, Ron Watts said that GAJ had missed the match because of a sore thigh and he emphasised that it wasn't a strain. He also said that they were just being cautious and that he was 99.9% he would play in the Grand Final.
I just hope that Ron wasn't using geelong-speak and that GAJ isn't out till the middle of next season!

I hope that too, but I think that had've it been serious the media would've found out by now, and they would've been all over it, and we would've know a lot more about it in newspapers, t.v, radio, etc.
But, gee I hope he plays this week!!!!!!!

Who's going to the Grand Final?
We'd hope for nearly everyone to go this week!
I know I'll be there!!! :D

I'm going. Haven't been to many VFL games this year so I'm jumping on the bandwagon a bit, but it will be good to get to a game where you can have a kick at the breaks out on the ground and listen to the huddles etc.

I think I've talked my Dad into going again with me this week so hopefully it will be a good match with the mighty Cats getting a win. :):)
Does anyone know if we'd be allowed onto Optus Oval during the breaks for a kick of the footy?
Go Cats!!

Won't matter if you win the VFL flag, it still doesn't count.
Haven't won one since 1963.

You'd think so. I don't think they have ever said you can't go on the oval. But that's one of the best things about VFL footy is you can have a kick on the oval!

I too thought it was Dash (the bike shorts gave it away), but the 'Next Big Thing' line above the picture confused me slightly.
Dash might be the 'Next Dumb Thing', but definitely not the 'Next Big Thing' :p

Good prediction Jim Boy. :)
As an aside for anybody attending the VFL grand final tomorrow: The Age today has an ad for a competition where one supporter at the game wearing either a Geelong or Hawthorn guernsey will be shown on the big screen at half time and win two tickets to the grand final the next day.

You bugger,I looked through this thread and thought Menschy was making a comeback. Now you've dashed my hopes seeing as though it's a 6 year old thread. :(
How long til Baxter debuts ? ;)
