Did anyone read the Herald Sun on Sunday?

There is an article from Scotty Palmer mentioning that Leigh Matthews has a letter on his desk from Tony Liberatore requesting a positon as a Asst Coach with the Lions.
IMO after what Libba has inflicted on our players in the past he wouldn't get any respect from our players.

nor do we need his brand of footy at our club

If this is true, i'm up for it. I wouldn't mind Libba as an assistant coach, he would be handy. But I somehow don't think this is true and he wouldnt want to leave his under 12 or 10's side.

Liberatore was an excellent player, and would probably be able to offer a lot in an assistant coaching role. He always impressed me with his hard-working attitude, and likewise, his ability to overcome his limitations and set-backs, and be one of the best players in the league, of his type (over a long period of time).

Apart from that, I don't think Lions fans can really complain about some of Liberatore's supposed tactics, especially considering some of the similar tactics being used by some of our own current players!

I heard he sent a similar letter to every club.
