See if you can name your top 10 all time best gigs you have been to?
Be interesting to see how different we all are.
Only allowed to bag a fellow poster if they mention Shannon Noll, Brian McFadden, or Vanessa Amorosi.:p:D
Heres mine. No particular order.

Radiohead - Forum, Camden Town, 1994.
Nick Cave & Bad Seeds - Big Day Out 1993

Wow. Good call. Not many people remember REM's 1st tour of Aus let alone seeing them. An excellent show and two great bands.

Great topic! These are my top eight that immediately spring to mind. I've been to many others, but these are the ones that stand out as special:
Radiohead - Sydney Entertainment Centre, 2004. My all-time favourite band.
The Polyphonic Spree - The Palace, 2005
The Flaming Lips - The Palace, 2004
Brian Wilson - Regent Theatre, 2004.
DJ Shadow - The Forum
The Cure - Rod Laver Arena, 2007. They still sound amazing live, despite not writing a decent song since the early 90s and looking like utter crap!
Ash - The Corner Hotel, 2001. I had just turned 18 in time see them and was incredibly excited. i went to both shows they put on, as well as an in-store at Gaslight and was not let down.
Augie March - The Spiegeltent, 2001. Amazing venue to see an amazing band who I've had the pleasure of seeing quite a few times.

Knew this would happen. You have reminded me of one that I forgot. Was at the Cure 2007 one (which was very good!), but it was not a patch on the 1992 'Wish' tour. It was their first time in Aus since late 70's. Needless to say the fans were restless. I think the same fans turned up in 07 but were all 15 years older and wore less make up.:thumbsu:

Strokes/Kings Of Leon @ Palais
Wilco @ Palace (their first tour here, before they jumped the shark)
Grandaddy @ Corner (so glad I saw them before they broke up)
Dale Watson @ POW (missed Wayne Hancock when he toured though, boo!)
Teenage Fanclub @ Hi-Fi Bar (Man-Made tour)
Dr. John & Keb Mo @ Palais (only for Dr. John though, Keb Mo is MOR)
The Thrills @ Hi-Fi (first tour)
Maximo Park @ POW
That's all I can think of for now, but I should also mention the two worst concerts I've been to, jay Farrar solo at the corner and Sufjan Stevens' recent tour (his band was god awful and I was so excited to see him too:(
Also my top 5 wishlist, dead or alive:
Sam Cooke
Tom Waits
Merle Haggard
Donny hathaway
James Booker/Professor Longhair (either would do)
