I know I am getting one week ahead of myself and that Fitzroy is not exactly the current Lions... BUT
Have Fitzroy ever played the pies in a GF? For that matter what was our record against them in finals?

Thanks,
Mark

Thanks Levo,

The rivalry between Fitzroy and Collingwood must have been intense in those early years!

Cheers,
Mark

Fitzroy v Collingwood has always been a pretty good rivalry, what with being next door to each other for sixty years and co-habiting at 'Lion Pie Park' for a couple of years in the mid-80s.

Does anyone else remember the Collingwood banner that read "Fitzroy: Not co-tenants, unwelcome guests". Nearly caused a riot.

Brisbane v Collingwood is the GF match up I'm hoping for. To me, there would be nothing more sweet than to have one season in which:

1. The Lions win a premiership
2. The Pies lose a premiership (the closer the margin the better)
3. The Blues finish dead last.

That's like an alignment of the planets. Once in a lifetime event.

Slax I'll check, by the way are you going to the Richmond Vs Essendon game at the AMP Oval.
I'ts on October 12th so far at 1.40pm, bring out the Fitzroy gear and drink VB and anything else, confirmation with AFL pending.
Reserved seat £13 and pick a spot £11.

For it to be a perfect year we would have to beat Carlton twice. Once by 10 goals and once by a point after a shocking umpiring decision in our favour in the last second to give us the winning shot at goal after the final bell.
