Johnson, Leppitsch, Aker, Black, Voss & Lappin.

Well done to all of them, especially Johnson (let's face it, the rest of them are more or less expected to get in such is their talent). Brad Scott would have been a worthy inclusion too.

Oh, and well done Vossy on the captain's job!

6 out of 22, that has to be the most out of any team doesn't it?

Wow, I was shocked with Chris Johnsons selection and Nigel Lappin (sitting out part of the year with an injury) We're very lucky, well done boys oh and well done "Voss the Boss" for getting Captaincy. 6 Brisbane Lions, thats amazing. The Fab.4 plus Chris Johnson and Leppa!

well done to Chrissie Johnson. i think people are starting to take notice...

full marks to this bloke for his endeavours over the years. he's a hard worker and he has scooped the rewards. he started out at the Roys very young and was obviously an outstanding potential talent in a struggling team, known for standing on people's shoulders for the big grab.

when he went to brissie he struggled early. he was a one stage 'at the crossroads' as to whether to continue with the lions (based on form and homesickness) but he stuck at it, earned a consistent spot, developed into the "attacking-defender", picked up a premiership medallion, and now All Australian.

he's got a big heart and i believe he loves playing for the Lions, and loves the continued connection with us old Roys people down south. You could see it in his eyes at Brunswick St after last years GF.

he bloody well deserves it.

Well done lads. Thoroughly deserved.

Fill me in someone, I did not watch the Eddie-fest last night, which goal of Aker's won goal of the year? Opponent and a brief description please!

Against Carlton at the Gabba, 3rd quarter.

Got it out of the middle, 2 bounces, numerous baulks, ended up slotting it from about 50m on his left side close to the boundary, main scoreboard end.

If it was against Carlton it doesn't count.;)

I agree that it's extra special for Johnson. I love watching him becuase you can see his heart on his sleeve when he plays. If only he'd kicked THAT goal he'd be a Norm Smith Medallist as well. (but it was nice for Harty)
