Dont know what you think about this but im furious that Thomson didnt get mark of the year.

I was so mad..I couldnt believe it when Jonathon Brown won. The thing that got me was that Jade Rawlings was just as courageous standing his ground when that fat piece of footballer was coming right at him..load of rubbish..

I also think that Crawford should feel hard done by, as Adem Yze was selected in the centre. Crawf is about 100 times the player Yze is and he got selected on the bloody bench...

IM seriously not happy..The All Australian Selectors need to get off the drugs.

Actually I thought that Jonathon Brown deserved that award. It was a very gutsy mark that he took. If Brown's mark was not paid I think Monsta would have been awarded it.

I thought that the goal of the year should have been awarded to Shane Crawford but Aker's was chosen.

But Suzi, Jade Rawlings was just as courageous in that situation as he stood his ground, while that big heavy Jonothan Brown came charging through. Acts of courage happen every game, but they are not acknowleged. Jade is only thin compared to Jonothan Brown, and I thought he showed courage by making the contest.

Jade Rawlings did not have the best of days down the back line. Although he has had a stella year this season, he unfortunately lost concentration against the Lions.

Suzi, that has absolutely nothing to do with the point that is trying to be made here. They are saying Jade Rawlings was just as courageous going for the ball as Jonathon Brown was. No one asked anything about his form...get a clue.

I thought Mark of The Year should have gone to Thommo or Koops, both great marks. Goal of The Year probably to Picket or Krakeur, or maybe even Bateman's goal from the boudry on the fifty.

Hey guys I'm a roo chick and I remember the night that Nathan Thompson(sorry if I spelt it wrong) took that mark. I came home from somewhere and it was being replayed over and over and I thought straight away "MARK OF THE YEAR" it's just so obvious which mark is the best each year, you guys were clearly robbed.
When I saw Browns mark, half the time I miss where he actually marks it, just a pack of players crashing into a mark, no where near as good as a speccy.

Im just trying to take a positive out of our season (of which even u Suzi have to admit they were few and far between) Im allowed to express an opinion. And my opinion is that Jonothans Brown's mark shouldnt have won.

Thompson not winner Mark of the Year was a joke. Easily the best mark, God only knows what the judges were thinking.

I understand where you are coming from. However, this topic has no positive comments and it puts a bad name on us hawthorn supporters.

Nathan Thompson was unlucky but there is always next year when we can take the Brownlow, the Grand Final, Goal of the year and Mark of the year.

Okay getting back to the whole mark thing:

I've been arguing with my bf every since that mark happened that it shouldn't be mark of the year, and he just keeps throwing "because it was against Hawthorn" at me (typical bloody bombers supporter)!

I don't think it was spectacular. You see guys go for marks like that almost every game. Hell, little Campbell Brown took one in the game against Collingwood (I think it was that game), but the media didn't go ape over that!

And plus, how crappy is the photo going to be? It's just going to look like a huddle! :D

Poor Jade Rawlings actually saw the player coming and still stood his ground. It's just a shame that he didn't mark it.... could have been our mark of the year! (All respects to Thommo's mark though <- and if I can say that, then it must have been good! ;) )

I AM NOT a grumpy supporter. You are not the only person in the world who barracks for Hawthorn. I have never once complained about Hawthorn, i have supported them all the way this year.
