How the hell did Jason Johnson miss All Australian honours?

I'm gonna say he had a more consistent year than ****ermanis, but still didn't even scrap in on the bench.

I suggest we protest to get Robert Walls off the AA selection commitee. Might get a fairer deal for non Carlton/Richmond/Brisbane players. (Top selections - Darcy in a forward pocket, Pavlich at Fullback???)

I couldn't see any midfielders in the team that you could categorically say JJ was better than this year. Besides, I'd put Peter Bell in that team before JJ. Now HE was hard done by!

I thought Fletcher was more unlucky than JJ not to be selected AA.

At least the team selected has top on ballers & midfielders, it doesn't have a full back at all !

Love him to death, he would die for the cause, one big problem is his kicking, this deficency keeps him from being elevated to the elite, very very hit and miss, but when it comes to heart, he would make others blush.
Fletcher was the one, now this bloke is elite, he has one competitor for the games best defender, and that is leppistch not freaking pavlich, that is one for the comedy hour, pavlich over Fletcher and Leppa for the full back spot.

Adam Simpson makes Johnson look like Darren Jarman. Simmo made the AA team, so I don't thin this was the reason mate. Just blame it on selector stupidity.

I watched Essendon games where Johnson was keeping you blokes in the contest, especially when Hird and Lloyd were out. Walked into that team IMO.

I think Gerard healy made it quite clear on the night there were ten or a dozen blokes who could have walked into that team.
As for Jason Johnson Vs Adam Simpson I always refer to the '99 season NMFC did not beat EFC once.
