You fellas still drink out of thimble-sized vessels and call them "a Beer"?

Boxing Day Test is the go, providing it doesn't rain on the first day as it normally seems to. You only going to the one Test, Brett? If you're going to the effort of coming out, may as well make it really worthwhile and see both....;) :D

My Girlfriend is one of yours and we are going back to see her family, friends etc. I'm not one of the Barmy Army (thank god)!. Think one test is the max. (I'm allowed ;) )

Yeah I agree, Boxing Day is usually THE biggest day in the Australian cricket calendar.. at least attendances say so.

Weather's usually a bit dodgy late in the year though, and our best weather is usually in February/March when the cricket season is just about over.

I agree with the Brett Li line that you drink out of thimbles and not proper glasses.

Having just seen the destruction of the rather ordinary Zimbos in Sri Lanka, I am looking forward to seeing brett lee's pies disappear out of the ground in Brisbane.

Bring it on - whether we win or lose, there will surely be a moment of aussie grief i can chuckle about on the way back on the plane. I am considering bringing a pint glass with me.

Anyway Brett li is going to sow his marital seeds in god's own country as Rex Hunt (mispelt, should have started with a 'C') refers to Oz. His mind will not be on cricket or beer.

Thanks Cezza. Are you coming then? Perth is it?

Unfortunately at the cricket (the MCG at least) beer is served in plastic cups, and the bars usually shut half way through the last session! Beer is watered down, labelled mid-strength... whatever. And it's usually limited to one or two differnt local brews (VB, Carlton Draught, and the lighter % beers).

Given the choice though, it's German beer for me, straight out of a stubby or 5 litre mini-keg. Unadulterated. Pure. Pure as the 1516 Reinheitsgebot (German Purity Law). Unless they start playing Tests in Dortmund, Dresden and Munchen, we won't see good beer at the cricket.

At the cricket you can only drink what's available, but Australian beer is cats' urine.

see you in the final of the ICC trophy. naah, just kidding, i don't think either of us will make it that far.

can england stop australia from winning 3 tests? i would have to think at worst, the series will be 2-1 to Australia, at the VERY worst. what do you think?

C'mon Boxing day is the way to go surely???

Doubt I'll make it up to Sydney, although I've never been to the SCG......

Even though it did rain most of the day & Darky & I were stuck waiting @ the Corner Hotel in Richmond for most of the day.

We only saw 1 hour, but at least it was free ;)

I'm somewhere else on those dates - Hunter Valley, I think.

IF any of you are up for meeting in Sydney for the test, please message me...

Cheers

Come to the Perth test, I'll be there!

Never a washout and a traditional bouncy wicket.

I'll be there too!!!!

It'll be great to see the newly re-developed WACA full.

I'm looking forward to getting there for the first Pura Cup game too!

The SCG test is now too @#($&*@(#* expensive. I'll try to get along to a day of it though (and I'll be at the boxing day test I suppose - the annual christmas visit to Her parents in Geelong)
