Finals qualification for AFL affiliated sides

7 games minimum requirement to be eligible to play in the VFL finals.

The following AFL listed players on 6:

Josh Hill (Bulldogs/Williamstown)
Cam Stokes (Hawks/Box Hill)
Matthew Whelan (Dees/Sandringham)
Adam Bentick (Blues/Ants)
Steven Browne (Blues/Ants)
Shane Edwards (Tigers/Coburgs)

Hopefully are all given a run this week to have a chance at a flag, or perhaps in the top 2's case, 2 flags.

Cam Stokes playing finals? i think not. only since BHH seniors are not playing. The BHH reserves will see Alex Grima and Hugh Sandilands line up.

Does the rule NOT apply if their senior affiliate is still in the AFL finals race?

Definitely still applies to VFL seniors. Not 100% on VFL reserves though
