Without a doubt Ricco's 55 metre bomb was the best to win us the game!!
But looking back at those moments, it was a great seaon!!
A close second though would've been the great Sydney win!! That in my mind was one of guts and determination!! .... and the best thing about it, I WAS THERE!!!:D
Go Cats!!:)

The Collingwood win was great, but the moment that will stay with me for a long time was seeing Benny single handedly hold St.Kilda off.
A wonderfully courageous effort from our much maligned skipper.
Collingwood game, no doubt.
Even better because they hate losing to us (they haven't beaten us since 98) and because their arrogant fans thought the game would be an easy win for them.
And because it was the best footy we played all year, having said that, I didn't think it was the best we could play.

Not to mention the fact Benny wasn't 100% fit for that match but played and showed the courage and determination expected of a leader.

Too many memorable moments to single out a single one... but I'll try. :)
Gotta be the win over Collingwood, with the late wins over Carlton and Sydney running a close #2 and 2a, then the comprehensive win over Essendon.
Cheers,
William

Yeah, well done to Benny! That was one performance of guts and ditermination. Great stuff, just what we needed and he pulled it out!
Go Cats!!:)

Do any Cats fans believe it was touched?
Just wondering if you can set aside your bias and look at it objectively and make a decision. I was there and called it off the boot because of the way the ball deviated. Shouldn't all 3 umpires have been watching to make sure? Just one umpires mistake was the downfall of the day!

It was not bloody touched! You guys were *****ED OFF that you lost the game! Face the facts! Had've the ball been touched, I doubt whether it would've traveled the full 55 metres!
And the game is played over 4 quaters. People only remember the last decision, but there are plenty of things that happen in a full 4 quarter match. You don't see us complaining of the Lappin free kicks/50 metre penalties do you?
The fact is WE WON, YOU LOST!!!!
Go Cats!!:)

The funny thing is Peter Riccardi's kicking went off a bit after that match but he came through when we needed it most!! I'm with catattack on this one... if the ball was clearly touched, I doubt Peter Riccardi would have been able to kick a drop punt 55+ metres.
After the Lappin incident and subsequent 50 metre penalty, justice was done in my opinion with Riccardi's goal!! :D:D
Go Cats!!

No it wasn't touched.Riccardi did a few helicopter kicks this year,so that kick wasn't out of the ordinary.
Lappin could've kicked the goal...He kicked one from a harder angle further out the previous minute!

... and if my memory serves correctly, that goal was from a dubious free kick for deliberate out of bounds against Dasher???

It was more than dubious catattack. Those umpires were doing a job on us in that last quarter and it almost came off.

Dubious my foot. I would stake my life on that being deliberate. Dasher is a prick anyway!
