Anyone seen the ads of this?
If you haven't, here is the run down.
Year 2012
Hasn't rained for 200 days
Only 2 weeks of water left
There are bush fires
I reckon it'll be alright and I'll probably watch it.

Go to www.scorched.tv. Some of the stuff on there looks like stuff you'd see on Comedy Inc. All the weather forecasts are over 45 and Perth at 51.

About 15 minutes in here.
Strikes me as your average Australian commercial free-to-air made-for-TV-movie: cheap, bland, a galaxy of plotholes and only made because the broadcasting license requires a minimum amount of Australian drama content.

Entertaining enough to keep me in the lounge for the duration of the whole lot, a few predictable cliches but gets a thumbs up from me. :thumbsu:

I thought it was alright. Except for the plotholes at the end. They didn't tell us how that girl got saved. We see her lying down in the bush, next thing you see her in a hospital van thing. There were a couple of others, but overall it gets a thumbs up from me as well. :thumbsu:
I didn't think it was a movie, I thought it was a mini series at the very least.

Yeah i thought that it was going to be a mini series as well... As previously said had some massive plot holes and the last 10 - 15 minutes of it was a bit disappointing the way they tied it together. Still a worth while watch..
Only lasted about 15 minutes into it.
Georgi Parker as a Premier just did nothing for me. The usual Daddo appearence. Nice use of stock film of Bush fires. Overall, plotline was unbelievable (like northerly and Southerly winds at the same time). Was watchable in the sense it was good to see a disaster movie set in Australia for a change.
I liked that the annoying reporter choked to death.
