Hi Footy Fans...

It's two weeks until Grand Final action and with the Adelaide & Port Adelaide teams out of the running for the AFL finals, the attention should turn to the SANFL finals series.

Three teams are left in the competition, the eliminations started with West Adelaide last week and another team has fallen victim to expulsion from the finals.

This time it was the Eagles in the 1st Semi-Final against the Redlegs. It really went down to the wire in the end, with Norwood managing to advance to the Preliminary Final with their 2 point win.

The reigning premier Central District looks set to take their third premiership in a row after advancing to the Grand Final in a close encounter against the Blues, forcing the opponent into the Preliminary Final to play Norwood again after winning by 14 points.

Sunday September 22
First Semi-Final
Norwood 8.14 (62)
Eagles 8.12 (60)

Second Semi-Final
Central District 9.14 (68)
Sturt 8.6 (54)

Crowd: 12,467 at AAMI Stadium

Eagles have been eliminated. See you next year, guys.

Next week in Major Round 3 of the SANFL, for the first time in over two decades the Preliminary Final will be played at Adelaide Oval, where either side can take their spot against the Bulldogs in two weeks!

Sunday September 29
Preliminary Final
Sturt v. Norwood; Adelaide Oval

Central District goes to Grand Final.

Until next week... see you at the Footy!
