With the trade period coming up and with us desperately needing to trade, I thought it would be a bit of fun to post a poll regarding tradings. Would you be in favour of the above scenario ?

As big a fan of Caracella's as i am, we need a quality young ruckman desperately. I'd have to say yes for that one.

I would probably lean towards yes on that one. While Caracella is a fine player, we have quite a few players already of his ability and type who were in better form last year and won't be asking for as much money.
We don't need a superstar at ruckman, just a decent one, and I think Gardiner qualifies.
No way OGGE would wc go for that...........
Er. Might want to run that one by West Coast.
I think you're being a tad optimistic, but hey, if you could pull it off.....

Keep on dreaming, sunshines..
a.) Gardiner's worth more than that
b.)We don't want Caracella.
c.) Put simply Gardiner is untradeable. Our CEO has said outright that he isn't going anywhere.

I think everyone in this thread knows this trade is a pipe dream, but you can't help wishful thinking ;)
Hey, we traded Neville Fields for Terry Daniher.
Receivers look bad when they are not being fed the ball.
Simple. If Caracella had been given more ball in 2002, this thread would not exist.
I don't think that we need a 'name' ruckman like a Gardiner anyway. A young kid might be just the ticket...from memory Fraser's only 20, and he's playing in the Grannie tomorrow.
I'm a NO vote...but not for reasons of sentiment.

I'd definitely go for that if I was trading for the Bombers.
But if I was trading for the Eagles, no way.
Would be a great deal if you could get it but I dont see it happening, sorry guys.

Not a chance.. Gardiner's a former #1 draft pick and the Eagles #1 ruckman.. Trading him would be a huge step back for the club and the Eagles have already made it quite clear that he and his understudy are off limits during trade week

If you people want Gardiner, put simply, you'd have to give them Lloyd or Jacobs and Bolton and a draft pick. He's worth more than any trade really. That said, swapping him for Koutoufides could be arranged...
Would solve a pretty big ruck problem, IMO. And if Caracella is reluctant to re-sign with the Bombers, gets him off the list. I don't think we need players who don't want to play for us. And those who hold the club to ransom for more money, after others have signed up for less then 'market price' should be marched out the door pretty quick smart, provided a suitable replacement can be arranged.
What a trade if the Bombers could pull this one off. Would solve your rucking problems!! Not sure how the WCE would feel about this..
Should look at someone like Barnaby French or Clarke Keating..
