Hey guyz, was talking to a women that is a essendon member and she is also friends with james. She mentioned that Peter Jackson was going to leave and James Hird will defianatly be the next president. Has anyone heard anything about this?? Great news if true.

There has already been talk (radio) about it...

He'll get the votes easily, just a matter of him juggling EFC and his other business interests. Wheather the timing is right is another thing.

He'll return to EFC one day, wheather it's at board level or in the football department, who know's.

Not that I don't like Knights or anything... but I'd love to see Jimmy as the coach instead of President.

hasnt he made it know on several occasions that coaching holds no interest?

I heard that he wasn't interested in coaching as well. I would of thought he would of taken five years or so to come back to the club.

Probably a bit soon after his retirement to become president. And to be honest those who know his personality off the field would know that dealing with the masses is not really his cup of tea. He has times where he is very priverate and self centered which is his way of dealing with the fact that he is not a huge people person. Which is not a bad thing, just the way it is.
