"What is your favourite number ?"
"Who is your least favourite player ?"
"Why do we trade with Geelong ?"
"Congratulations on 1,000 posts !!!"
God, where do these gems come from ? When are you going to get some meat into the argument here. I'm back and looking for some substance in this land of fluff. Anybody got some ?

It's the off season...the sun is shining, we're feeling lazy, I need another beer, and dammit, there aint no footy games for us to pass our judgement on. So fluff it has to be...unless you have some bright topic that you'd like to discuss........and no, we don't want to go through the McKernan argument again......

Shinboners, you are right. The off-season makes dullards of us all, but surely we can get some lively debate going. I'm not sure why you guys are so sensitive about Corey (or why i am so obsessed) but perhaps the PS draft next Tuesday will generate some talking points. Perhaps O'Connor ?

Be my guest!!
Or is it just your nature to slag off from the sidelines and then run back to the roos site and slag us off there as well!!
I see that the only topic you've started is your old "McKernan sucks" hobby horse!

Gonzo,
As a newcomer to this site, I thought it would be rather presumptuous of me to barge in with a topic right at the get go. After a week or so, I thought I would lob the McKernan grenade in the crowd to liven things up a bit. I must say I was surprised by the vitriolic responses. Obviously this is a McKernan admiration society, so I will keep those thoughts to myself.
With your imprimatur, I will attempt another topic shortly, as soon as I can concoct one worthy of your venerable considerations. (No "hobby horses" I promise.)

First off let me say that I'm as disappointed as the next roo with McKernan and his form, not to the level where I think he should be delisted though!! (I still think/hope that he has something to offer!)
Having said that I thought the responses here were on par with the responses that you got at the Roos site - hardly surprising http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/smile.gif
Feel free to launch grenades at any time, but you gotta expect some sort of backlash don't you think?
BTW Agree with you regarding the quality of posts at the moment - pretty ordinary and I tend to think that they will pick up come the start of the season
Cheers
Gonzo
CIK,
I was thinking of starting up a dreary topic Roos Forum style & inviting you to discuss North Melbourne's performance over the last 40 years.
But then a little birdie told me that you are a former Royboy.
So why aren't you with your kin folk on the Lions boards bagging Corey up there. You might get the reaction you seek.

They are a bunch of losers, and don't know it. Matter of fact, they were all into back-slapping and self congratulation too. See what happens when you avoid contentious issues !

What is this about supposed back slapping & self congratulation? I've been here a few days & no one has offered to kiss my butt, yet.
Can you offer some advice on how to bring it on perhaps because I'm not seeing it?

so how big is your butt before I volunteer...
Thanks, your consideration is enough in itself & with newly inflated ego I'll try not to invite such undue attention upon my body parts again.
But I am one of those boring people who would rather read kind & caring words about my team rather than have heated exchanges with the enemy.
Diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks I guess...
CIK,
In a separate post I pointed you towards 2 of the more substantial posts. If you are looking for a bit more meat, try these ones, which exist out on the main board:
They can stick that levy up their... (http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/001988.html) (a personal favourite rant)
Roylion (http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/001868.html)
AFL on 9 and Foxtel (http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/001894.html)
Bye Bye, Bye Bye, Bye Bye Kangas Bye Bye... (http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/002086.html) (this one is started by "John Imbrahim" who is otherwise known as geelong4eva, the BigFooty resident pest who has since been banned)
Should Salary Cheats Have Bigger Fines? (http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/002009.html) (starts off slow, but builds up into a good Carlton slugfest)
