View Full Version : UFC Fight Night - Live on Fuel TV
Starts 10am EST according to the commercial I saw last night, the online guide has nothing yet so I'll have to hope there's a replay in the evening.
Main card
Lightweight bout: Nate Diaz vs Josh Neer - should be Nate's toughest test but he'll come through with the submission, Neer's been submitted by Nick before on an earlier UFC show
Lightweight bout: Clay Guida vs Mac Danzig - a tough fight to pick, Guida has a tendency to throw it away though so I'll go with Mac
Middleweight bout: Ed Herman vs Alan Belcher
Light Heavyweight bout: Houston Alexander vs Eric Schafer - I'm more concerned with Houston's chin than his ground game and I don't think Schafer's got the KO power to stop him. The show is in Houston's hometown so the crowd will be right into this
Preliminary card
Middleweight bout: Wilson Gouveia vs Ryan Jensen - easy win for Gouveia in his MW debut
Middleweight bout: Alessio Sakara vs Joe Vedepo
Lightweight bout: Joe Lauzon vs Kyle Bradley - hope Joe ends this quickly and the fight makes the main card
Light Heavyweight bout: Jason Brilz vs Brad Morris - have to support the Aussie
Middleweight bout: Drew McFedries vs Mike Massenzio
Middleweight bout: Dan Miller vs Rob Yimmons

I've already set Foxtel IQ. Really looking forward to see Mac Danzig. He's a bit loopy in the head but i admire the discipline it takes to be a professional athlete with a vegan lifestyle. He's very confident and was a class above everyone when he was on The Ultimate Fighter.
Main card
Lightweight bout: Nate Diaz vs Josh Neer - Nate by Sub. He's a tough guy.
Lightweight bout: Clay Guida vs Mac Danzig - Huge test for Mac, Guida is a nonstop workhorse. I predict Guida to roll through Danzig and overwhelm him with a TKO stoppage. I can only see Danzig winning by sub from the bottom.
Middleweight bout: Ed Herman vs Alan Belcher - might be the last chance for Herman.
Light Heavyweight bout: Houston Alexander vs Eric Schafer - Agree with Ross, Hometown to get Houston back on the W column
Preliminary card
Middleweight bout: Wilson Gouveia vs Ryan Jensen
Middleweight bout: Alessio Sakara vs Joe Vedepo
Lightweight bout: Joe Lauzon vs Kyle Bradley - Joe is one of my favourites so i'm not tipping against him
Light Heavyweight bout: Jason Brilz vs Brad Morris - Go Aussie!
Middleweight bout: Drew McFedries vs Mike Massenzio
Middleweight bout: Dan Miller vs Rob Yimmons
Main card
Lightweight bout: Nate Diaz vs Josh Neer - Nate will be a champ in the futur, has BJ Penn use of his legs and this should be his fight
Lightweight bout: Clay Guida vs Mac Danzig - Clay is a very good tough fighter and will edge mac out with his octogon experience against quality opposition.
Middleweight bout: Ed Herman vs Alan Belcher - I just can't pick Short Fuse anymore. Should be good, but constantly disapoints.
Light Heavyweight bout: Houston Alexander vs Eric Schafer - I'm guessing here. Either fighter has the abity to lose this fight, which is the cruitial factor, who want's to lose this fight more. I'm sure it'll end up in a stoppage as well. Only one desicion in the history of both these fighters.
Preliminary card
Middleweight bout: Wilson Gouveia vs Ryan Jensen
Middleweight bout: Alessio Sakara vs Joe Vedepo -NFI
Lightweight bout: Joe Lauzon vs Kyle Bradley -
Light Heavyweight bout: Jason Brilz vs Brad Morris - Morris's last UFC bout was an embarrasment.
Middleweight bout: Drew McFedries vs Mike Massenzio
Middleweight bout: Dan Miller vs Rob Yimmons - NFI

I've just backed Danzig at $2.14. I think this guy's got a good future in the ufc.

Fights went pretty much as expected. Danzig really needs to take some angry pills. He is an excellent fighter technically but just doesn't have the aggression. He was frustrated at times like when Huerta fought Guida but just didn't have it in him to be able to explode. Maybe he should murder a cow and eat some steak.
Diaz's bjj is impressive, especially his submission defence. I'd love to see him step up against someone that'll test his chin. Neer said he was going to do that but he kept taking Diaz to the ground.
Really bummed to see Houston lose, his two huge KO wins made me an instant fan before I'd even heard about his life story. He's probably finished with the UFC though, way too many holes in his game to compete.
Sounds like Morris got demolished as well. Save for George the record of Aussies in the octagon makes for pretty terrible reading.
Both Diaz brothers are nuts but I love watching them fight. Nate went from almost being choked out to throwing up a triangle attempt in about three seconds.
About to watch the first episode of TUF now.

Good first episode of TUF
That Albino 154lbs dude is nuts.. ANARCHY !!!! RAAAAAAARRRRRRRR
Ed Herman needs to put on some size. I doubt he'd have to cut much at 185 and he'd never make it to 155 due to his frame. He's too weak to let his natural tallent shine. Same with Mac Danzing. Simply out muscled the entire fight. Very good show though. I love the fight nights.
