With the amount of interest generated by the SANFL on this site..a SANFL only board would be warranted...

Yeah, I think there's enough interest to warrant an SANFL board.
The only problem would be, if a new SANFL board is created, the Regional Leagues board will be as good as defunct. About 90% of topics on here are SANFL related.

precicely why it should stay as is?
This board is the SANFL board by everything but name, even if u changed it to the SANFL board, it would still get the occasional other leagues threads anyway.
Just treat it as the SANFL board.

If you seriously want to apply for a separate SANFL board, I can take the application to the High Lords for a decision.

I disagree - its an eye-opener and rather interesting for someone unknown to the ways of the SANFL and its fans like me. I enjoy the insightful views and other banter, and love nothing more than coming to this one board and catching up on all footy not AFL. :)
F*ck the AFL .... I like state leagues footy, and all to be found in one spot. :)
Setting up an SANFL board on its own disenfranchises punters like me. :(
Sorry if I ruffle any feathers.

Im torn.
Yes I want an SANFL only board but on the other hand I dont see what puts the SANFL above the WAFL or VFL for eg, yes I know we have more people on here but still.
Mind you the SANFL is the South Australian NATIONAL Football League so perhaps shouldnt be classed as a "regional" comp.
And Port do have their own forum in the clubs part and more people follow North, Norwood, Centrals, Sturt, South, Glenelg, Eagles and Westies than Port.
I dunno, too hard, ask me after a dozen beers.
I have a deep-rooted interest in the happenings of footy in the other states such as Victoria, Western Australia etc etc.
Keep the Regional Board as it is, thank you very much.

It ain't broke - don't fix it.
Leave the board as is.
Which is exactly what I said the last time some goose started making noises about a seperate SANFL board, some months ago.

There wasn't much news while it was happening. It's sad the amount of apathy towards local footy here.
At least in Adelaide you still get people that don't follow any AFL club or at least put the club they have followed all their lives first. I have yet to meet anyone who follows only a WAFL club.

That's pretty much the point I was trying to make BB. It seems to be all Eagles and Dockers and bugger all WAFL(with a few exceptions like the thread on the Grand Final was great but how about some more??)

Might be time to take up the slack if anyone is interested.. I would rather someone who was raised on the game comment on it but if there are no takers then I will post what I hear around the place for those who are keen for WAFL news.

2 SANFL boards are required...
One for the top half of the comp and one for the bottom half of the comp..then we could have a relegation system...perhaps that way we could incorporate regional league as well in a relegation promotion system..:D
PA1870
leave it alone its fine as it is you get mainly SANFL threads anyway and others leagues throw in there threads i reckon keeps it intresting

yep i wasn't commenting on your reply i was already pretty sure you were taking the pi$$
I would feel the threads of a "superiority complex" taking shape if the Regional board became the SANFL.
Then again the administrators of WA football have been sh*t on from great heights by the AFL/VFL over the years so this would be no exception.
BUT.... I am making a stand for WA to say keep the board as it is and I promise to keep you crow-eaters up to date with the WAFL and all it's shenanigans...
look at www.footygoss.com as has a strong WA content- be it too much AFL related cr*p.
Oh, and I am one of many over here that do not have an AFL team. My only football love is, and ever will be, the Perth Football Club. Red and black is my heart, with red legs!!!! No hoops!!!

I go for The Bullies in the WAFL(it's a colour thing!) and keep a eye on the WAFL due to family thing. The in laws are Sandgropers and it's very much a house divided with loyalities between East Perth,South Fremantle and Swan Districts.I for one look forward to your up dates!
