Okay, inspired by Rooboy96's vote for the best North team ever, here's my best North team from the players that I have seen play.

HF: Malcolm Blight, Wayne Carey (C), Phil Krakouer,
F: Darren Crocker, John Longmire, Corey McKernan
Foll: Gary Dempsey, Matthew Larkin, Jim Krakouer
Inter: Ross Smith, David King, Dean Laidley, David Dench
Emer: John Law, Mark Roberts, Stephen McCann, Brett Allison
Coach: Denis Pagan

Somehow I don't remember seeing Dempsey play at all so I didn't put him in, whereas guys like Blight and Dench retired earlier or at the same time but I remember them so I have put them in. So by no means am I saying McKernan was or wasn't as good as Dempsey, I just don't see fit to make comment on a player I didn't see play. Sadly I found no room for Calthorpe or Cochrane either.

This is always difficult because Rantall,Wade,Crosswell,Dempsey and Davis were also great players with other Clubs and are often associated with those.

Maybe a few out of posistion (Schwatter the main one) but ive gone with blokes who always seemed to play well against my mob. For that reason believe it or not, i actually struggled to name Blight as he never really did alot against the Hawks (strange but true). Anyway its a fair side and i wouldnt want to play against them.

Shinners Darky Warrior & Grendal... if we do it position by position we will give briswhine a shite load of catching to do and it will also be easier to work out who makes the Greatest North Melbourne Big Footy Team... so please still vote and give your reasons...

Gee it's pretty hard to go past this lineup except I'd be inclined to have Schwatta on the halfback flank, Matty Larkin on the ball, Kingy on the bench, swap Phil and Jim Krakouer around (and drop the galloping gasometer). And that still leaves out Crocker, German and Allison - 3 players I've always had a lot of time for!
