Although the passing of Ron Casey, the injury to wayne in Rd 1 1997 and the injury to Corey in the 1997 PF were sad, i would like to ask roo fans, the 1994 PF or the 1998 GF?
For me it will always be the 1994 PF. Sure it was sad that we lost the 1998 GF, the way we lost the 1994 PF always gets to me.
What are your thoughts

Robbed in 94, self-destructed in 98. http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/mad.gif
Can there be a lesser of those two evils?
Too hard to split them!

Damir very sad on first day of australian open. Mi leetle Jelena lose to big butch american beeetch. Draw is rigged. Damir know draw is rigged, because Damir is very smart man.
For me it was the 98 GF to kick 8 goals 22 points in a grannie we gave it to them . I went to the post match dinner at the tennis center that part was ok it was the walk past the glass house past those crows fans that was harder. The 94 pf was hard to accept but life went on and there was a focus on the GF. 98 was the worst day of my life as a footy fan.
75 at least messages on my mobile/home phone all singing the crows song. very hard to take. 99 one message . Why do they like the N.M.F.C to fail?

I don't think they compare. In 94, anything could have happened in the GF. In 98, we threw it away....
94 for me, I cried all the way home. I still have the tape of Wayne on the Rex Hunt show the next day, he was so down. I usually watch that just before I put the 96 Grand Final on.

94 was harder to take for me... all I wanted was a grand final after 16 or 17 years... and those patronising Geelong fans... like they had a chance in hell of winning it...
98 was easier to take because I know no one who barracks for the Crows and I was still wrapped we one in 96...
96 and 99 I will be content for many years 2001 would almost mean nothing else matters... oh well not really but...
Actually I just realized my saddest day hasnt come yet. And I know it is going to be my saddest day. When the King leaves that will be like, where were you when you heard about President Kennedy being shot or John Lennon or Elvis dying? Well for me anyway.

The 1994 Preliminary Final defeat was my saddest day too. Leaving the ground, I was convinced that I'd never see my beloved North Melbourne in a Grand Final. My best mate is a Geelong fan and I said to him that I'd be going for the Eagles in the Grand Final because I knew that Geelong just didn't deserve to be there....by the time the GF came around, I begrudingly supported the Cats for him. At least with the 1998 loss, I had the consolation of having seen us win the '96 Flag and I was certain that I'd see North win another one in the near future.
Unlike many others, I got plenty of sympathy from friends over the '98 loss (although there were a few who were too scared to get in touch with me lest I bite their heads off!). The only people who gave me shit were the non-footy people. But '94 still stings.

The 94 prelim - the sight of Micky Martyn after a thrashed Ablett kicked that goal after the mongrel punt from Leigh Tudor was easily the worst. 98 was a wasted opportunity. We should have put them away in that second quarter much like the Sainters should have the year before.

All clubs have should of's and could of's so to me they don't really count.... Collingwood should of recruited Lockett... but they didn't.... 94 still hurts...
After 98 when I got home from the club... there was only one message... from a cousin who barracks for Carlton... I have not spoken to him since and doubt I ever will... but did I enjoy 99... Carlton Scum...
