Today was an absolutely brilliant day, so my wife and I decided to take our 4y/o daughter to Nth Burleigh beach. Almost as soon as we arrived, the wind picked up and the sun disappeared behind the clouds. We were probably there for the only hour of the day that the sun wasn't shining. As soon as we got home the sun came out. What else can you do but grab a couple of deck chairs and sit out in the sun with a couple of cold ones and watch the kid jumping on the trampoline. I hope the weather is perfect tomorrow - going to Whitewater World and Dreamworld. Gotta love the GC!:thumbsu:

At least while GCFC is based at Carrara. And also Chief might get some more sponsorship $$$ which might stop this board going the way of TLC, which is on the cards if SoR keeps starting threads here.

TLC got moved completely off of Bigfooty. It is a different site and everything now. I guess in a way this board is its replacement.

Between The Flags sounds pretty good, although the Warwick Capper Meter Man board would bring a certain ... gravitas to proceedings. We could have our own player of the season award called the Golden Underpants.

Yes, probably. I miss it, and the other one isn't quite the same.
It would be good though, and illustrate the chaos and anarchy that a decent night out in Surfers can bring during these events. Somewhere where you can post whilst drunk and no one notices the difference. Kind of like those nights where you catch the bus back to Palmy but somehow wake up on the beach at Nobbys.

Yeah I know what you mean! There is a tendancy to not think about your posts after a night out only to tune in the following afternoon and find an infraction waiting for you!!!

I've decided that we should start a supporters club called The White Shoe Brigade in order to emphasise the history of our city. We could have Christopher Skase and Peter Foster as our patron saints. Not sure if they are both dead, but I think at least one is.

Whatever good or bad names for the social club that are suggested here - the GC17 mob will just ignore it. Like they have every other good idea!
"Between the Flags" is a pretty good name. Very apt.
