I honestly reckon this kid is a gun, i reckon he could become one of our best inside midfielders. head over the ball, body on the line. he will be a class mid for us i years to come.
Don't take this as MacNamara bashing (I really like the way he goes about it; he has a lot of heart), but I think MacNamara is one of our youngsters who gets significantly overrated by West Coast fans. He's much like Priddis in that fans love him because he's prepared to do the hard stuff, but unless he greatly improves his composure he won't go much further. Compare that to a Scott Selwood who is a little terrier, but also has great awareness of what's happening down the field so once he extracts the ball he'll usually something with it.

Now whos overrating players...
I think both will be great (A) but probably not elite mids (A+++).
I really rate Scott Selwood, i think he was a steal in the draft.

well not every midfielder can be classy, you need some hard workers and defensive mdfielders. We had stenglein, rojo, braun and chick. Now we have scooter, rosa, jmac and houlihan rising through the ranks, and with other hard workers like waters and priddis who are still young. They will sheperd and assist classy mids like masten, ebert, kerr and butler, and guys like swift and hill that we will draft this year. Building a very good midfield, rich would complete it, but it seems we are adamant on naitanui. I don't think we will experience dramatic improvement next year, so we will be able to pick up a classy mid early in the draft.
