View Full Version : Glen Archer
I am late today so someone else can start this one off and I will be back later
Archer, hmmm... one of the most versatile players in the competition. Good skills, great courage, goes in hard. Plays tall and concedes height to most opponents, still beats most of them (he's got that Richmond spastic's measure for a start).
Prone to losing his cool at inopportune times. Next time you go the whack Arch do it in the GF, you'll only miss the Ansett Cup and we won't give a shit about it if it means we got to watch you deck Lloyd/Long/Lucas/Hird/Alessio/J & M Johnson/Ramanauskas/Wallis/Barnes/whoever.

I have no doubts about Arch. Along with Carey, Martyn, McCartney, Stevens, Blakey, and King, he is one player who you KNOW will play with pride week in and week out. What was painful to see last season was the fact that he lost the ability to control his aggression. Maybe injuries and the physical demands of his style of play (don't forget, there was a month shorter break between the 1999 and 2000 seasons) took their toll, so hopefully the extra months break this time around will help him get back to physical and mental freshness.
I wonder if Pagan continued with the incentives for Arch to keep out of trouble this year?
