Just heard on the radio that Stephen Williams has quit as State Coach, about bloody time I say, he can't even coach his club side properly.

Forget about what the "official statement" and williams himself said. Reminds me of the official statement issued by the SANFL last year about his phone throwing effort.

Without any shadow of a doubt he was told he would not be offered the role again. HE WAS NOT THE ONE who decided.

I also hear he was in the magpies coaches box during the SANFL reserves GF - probably the reason why his club lost by 102 points.

good riddance.

That reminds me, Eddie: what, if anything, happened at the "throwdafone" rematch? Was Cunningham's Warehouse sold out of $2 phones?

Once again The Port Adelaide Syndrome!!!!!!

Stephen Williams......... Whats wrong with him??????

He threw a Phone!!! Big ****ing Deal!!!! Why should he have put up with that crap from an opposition supporter!!!!!!

At Least you know when a Coach lets his emotions get the better of him ......... you know he cares deeply! ie Gary Ayres!

I have always found Stephen Williams to be a great bloke and so what if he was not going to be asked to take on the State Job any longer......... he only took the role because nobody else wanted it when it was up for grabs!!!!!
Anyway........ State Footy .......... DEAD!!!!!!!

Whatever happened to the system of the previous years premiership coach coaching the state side?
Alright I'm old but I thought that system worked OK!

Williams had to go, he has completely lost the plot. I've heard a few Port supporters calling for his head down at Magpieland as well. Missing the finals in the SANFL is a cardinal sin down.

There's nothing anti Port about it, S Williams is a clown.

You are an idiot Davo.

Hahahahahahaha!!!!!!

Its funny you say that people down at Port Adelaide want Stephen Williams Head!!!

I know quite a lot of Port Adelaide Supporters that wouldnt have anyone else coach their team apart from him at this point in time?

What exactly illustrates that Stephen Williams has lost the plot?

As I said he stood down from a position that nobody else wanted when he took it anyway!!!!

What occured in this seasons state match had nothing to do with the coach of the side, the players involved matched the apathy about the whole thing!!!!!

Port missed the Finals! Wow!!!!! How many times has that happened in history? Not Often...... doesnt everyone have an allowance for one bad year? Christ your club had plenty of them!

As I said, you like others, follow the flock!!!!

Who gives a rats ass who coaches The State Team!!!!!!

Dont worry about Eddie Eagle - hes just an Anti-Port moron who concentrates more about how Port is going instead of his own club.

As long as our "state side" next year is made up of South Australians instead of having 3 South Aussies like this year.
