I read in the Herald-Sun that Macca is asking $500 for tix to his Melbourne show(s). Are tickets officially on sale yet, and are there ANY tickets available at prices affordable to humble plebs and long-time fans like me? Any comments on these concert ticket outrages?
Tickets aren't on sale until Oct 22 or 23 & prices haven't been decided.

So it seems that Sir 'pacifist' Paul has been enticed here by money from the Bracks government.
Call me stupid, buy why would Sir Paul need any money whatsoever to entice him to do concerts in Melbourne? He is one of the richest men in Britain and not only should he not need any financial enticement to tour here, but the prices for his concert should be as cheap as possible (dare I say, even a free concert?).
I'm also interested to note that Sir Paul announced that he will be playing music from The Beatles, Wings and post-Wings period. Got to ask, when was the last quality, hit song Sir Paul produced? It would have to go back to the mid-1980s at the latest.
In his own way, Sir 'avant-garde' Paul has become the individual version of the Rolling Stones: his creative juices being worn out for several decades and reling on past glories, his enormous wealth ensuring he becomes a part of the establishment that a generation ago he was supposedly railing against and venturing into the realm of self-parody.
And finally: Is it just me or does Sir 'vegetarian' Paul looks like he has had a facelift?

The best things in life are free
But you can leave them for the birds and bees
Just give me money
That's what I want.
Apparently they're paying him an extra $2 million to ensure Melbourne is the only place in Australia or South East Asia where he plays.
That is totally ****ed.

Sorry, fan or not I would not pay $500 to see him.
