View Full Version : Prismall Vs Thomson
Seeing that we were rumoured to be interested in Thomson prior to trade week and we have now retained Prismall, which would you say would be a better player for Essendon?

Prismall, i rate Thomson and richmond did very very nicely getting him for pick 40(something) but you got Prismall for a steal and anyone good enough to get a run in geelongs midfield is an out and out gun, hope he stays injury free.
We were never interested in Thomson.

Prismall, not because he's now on our list, but because I think that he has more to offer our football club than Thomson would have.
Tigers did very well to secure him though. He'll be a solid player for them.

I am sick and tired of getting PM's and VM's asking me if i am the REAL Merv Neagle.

prismall could get a game in the best midfield in the comp, Thompson couldn't crack it in the side that finished 13th, i'd say prismall is by far and away a better get

Question our interest in Thomson, but i guess by the end of the '09 season, we'll see who's better. Prismall, Thomson...

I reckon that is would be the best way to rate them. Thomilf never had much of a chance and when he did he got some pretty impressive numbers. Prismall likewise, When he had his chances he played brilliant. I think both Richmond and the Dons got great deals this week, Congrats on Prismall.

The Amount of games they play will also have to come into context when comparing the two. Thomson is ready made player, Prismall needs time to get over his ACL. 2010 might be when we see what he's got, possible late '09 depending how his ACL goes. (Was listening to him on SEN, and said that recovery would take between 6 and 9 months. After a month, he is able to stand.)
Will be intertesting how these player's careers turn out.

Just make sure the kid invests in a decent shower mat, you don't want him to do a Coughlan on you blokes... hahaha
Tell you what would be great, Dream time @ the G, Prismall lining up on Thomson at the bounce, That would be a great way to see them at it head to head.
