Magoffin from WA, be leading the WA bowling attack since debuting in 2004/05 and has been super consistent in his time, and took his for 10 wicket haul today with a 6 wicket 2nd innings haul. No one ever hears about him and at 28 (turning 29 in december), could he every come into national calculations? 163 wickets in 48 matches now, at average of 29, and only goes at 2.9 an over in the Shield format. Definantly a white clothed bowler but I feel, reminds me of another Stuart Clark, with his nagging consistently with line and length.
Beats the bat so many times. Better players (test players) will find the edge more ;)
Should definately be looked at.

Reckon Dorey is better if he can stay injury free.

Definitely rate Magoffin very highly. I don't mind him in the shortened version of the game either, doesn't conceed too many. His efforts in the Ranger Stacey cup the other night against NSW were very good.
Hope he gets a look in during the VB series
Seriously good bowler. Only problem for him is that there are so many quality quicks who could slip into the test side - considering you have Bollinger, Noffke, Siddle, Hilfenhaus, Geeves, Tait, etc. who are all in the reckoning. Would have him ahead of all but Dougy and Noffers, though.

If Stuart Clark went down with a long term injury, I think he would be right in the mix for selection

I'm a big fan of Magoffin and think he has to be in the mix. He's probably below the first teir of replacements - Bollinger, Siddle, Noffke, Bracken, Hilfenhaus, Tait. Probably the next best.
And really there isn't much between any of those.
If Maggo played for NSW he'd be in India right now.
