Lol, It was a funny match. All we did was play most of our youngsters, so I guess thats a reason why we lost. I mean, Our forward line was a disgrace, and you had Richo down in yours.

What is the point of those games? They cite 'game development' or somesuch nonsense, but the only ones who go are a bunch of drunken Australians! LOL There is no way that game, or any of those exhibition games in England, have done anything to popularise Aussie Rules o'seas.

I thought it was ironic that during the telecast, the commentary was about how much money the game costs to run nowadays and that player payments will have to be cut back. I agree that the players are overpaid, but what did that fiasco cost to stage?

I saw very little of the game, but what I did see didn't impress me one bit. We got the ball to half forward time and again then kicked it to the opposition or blokes under pressure.

Good to hear (in another thread) that Winter played quite well.

Another thing the commentators were harping on about was the number of players that they reckon had hangovers. Pretty unprofessional if we are trying to impress the locals with a game of skill and excitement.

I think the exhibition games are a bit stupid because of the fact they really aren't helping the game to be promoted in Great Britain at all in my opinion.

If the clubs are not going to send over their best players to participate then the standard is obviously not going to be as good as it can be.

The game is not going to become popular overseas unless they realise just how great our game is, and the high skill level of it, and get to some of our game's best players.
