View Full Version : Peter Matera and Dylan Smith
On Friday night Peter Matera was really getting stuck into Dylan Smith, Corey and Simmo where looking after him, but he may have taken things into his own hands as he has been reported for striking Matera, he is a fiery little buggar. At one stage he went after the ball in the forward line and he was like a dog with a bone, you will know what I mean when you get to see him. Something else I noticed ( I have watched the replay about three times now) Sav and Winnie seem like they are good mates, they would go up to each other didnt matter if they were involved in the goal or not.
I dont want to keep on about it but he (Dylan) has a bit of Carey, Arch and Kingy all rolled into one in him. There will have to be a good nickname for him. That hairdo should draw some attention.

Good spotting Daph.
I find it interesting to see who the new players knock around with when they join the club. I was at a loss to think who Savvy would befriend.
10 players up tomorrow night, bloody hell all from our game.

I'm pretty much settled on calling him Dildo.
I think you will find he is a bit like Jason McCartney 35eye, they all seem to like him, when he got his first goal I thought an opposition player was attacking him, because someone shoved and pushed him, but it was our guys they were great. He did the interview after the game and said all the boys had made him feel welcome. Well I suppose they could hardly do anything else. When he was doing the interview, I couldnt help think he looked and sounded a bit like Tony Lockett up close. Lets hope he can kick goals like him hey.

I am looking forward to seeing him play.I am unable to go to training or practice matches during the day (some people have to work for a living) and I dont have optus. He sounds a good prospect.
Choppy, a few of the regulars on this board attend most of the training sessions and practice matches. I, for one, would be happy to post reports on what I see, and I'm sure you can find others to give their opinions too. Just name the players and I/we will try to provide info. Unfortunately Dylan Smith is one of the players I know little about... I only saw a few of passages of play from last Friday's Ansett Cup game, and he wasn't involved in any of them.

Always like to see a bit of toughness in our players. Reading that makes me feel better after Spidey's comments about how "innocent" Dylan Smith looks. http://www.bigfooty.com/ubb/wink.gif

Can you do it for me... Darky... Daniel Harris...
Shinboners, ummmm I dont think that is the sort of innocent that Spidey was talking about, but I think you guessed that.

Good to see he's upholding the reputation of wearing #13 like his predecessor.
Probably the ideal time to be reported when you are injured and obviously will miss a couple of weeks.
He has had a bad start to his career at the Roos as he has just got over an injury!

The kid can play, and he has some fire in him too. A very impressive debut.
