Rightio, gun to your head, who are the five players playing in Australia's cricket ranks, not currently playing test cricket who you feel need to be brought in. More importantly, who are the unlucky five who should give up their spot. NB* This team has the next 2-3 years in mind.

NEW (future:D)
1 Marsh
2 Watson
3 Clarke
4 Ponting
5 Hussey
6 Pomersbach
7 Ronchi
8 White
9 Lee
10 Bollinger
11 Hilfenhaus

IN: Marsh, Hilfenhaus, Bollinger, Pomersbach, Ronchi
OUT: Hayden, Katich, Johnson, Clark, Haddin

Strongly considering Brett Geeves as well. He's 26 and is a top bowler whose handy with the bat. I'm very hesitant dropping Clark, but i just think that his last two series haven't been overly productive and age will get him. Johnson's had long enough to prove himself, but still can't bring it into the right handers. Soultion = Doug Bollinger, his name just makes you want to give him a go :). I'd love to see Luke Ronchi given more of a go; he's got 4 years on Haddin and is more explosive with the bat. Although, having seen Haddin's test batting, he's done enough to prove his worth for now, but Ronchi will be choppin at the bit to get in, particularly in ODI's. Marsh is a given and could probably debut in the next two test matches. The number 6 was a tough one, heaps of young batting talent on show at the moment, and was probably a toss up between Dave Hussey and Pomers, with bloke from WA winning out. White's in because we don't have a 23 year old Warne, and i still think someone can teach the bloke from Bairnsdale how to bowl a leg break. Also a top fielder and can bat. Put Ponting to 4 for the pure reason to ease the pressure off him a bit.

BAG AWAY!! :)

Tait for Lee
Marsh and Pommers in

Real roughie, i like the look of Moller from QLD, couple of big seasons needed.

Well obviously it's a ridiculous overreaction.

But hypothetically speaking, Pomers hasn't been in the best of form so far this summer I don't think? So even in this scenario I doubt he'd get a gig atm. And then there's the fact that you dropped 5 people and none of them are Cam White.

But then again, any team with Hilf in it gets my vote, so :thumbsu:

If from last Test side...

In - Marsh, Ronchi, Heal, Clark, Tait
Out - Hayden, Haddin, White, Siddle, Johnson

And Siddle would be my 12th man.

PS. Normally I would have Symonds in my side too, but at the moment, he can't spell the word "bat".

And Pomersbach, not yet

If that happened 4 of my 5 favourite domestic players would be in (Hilfy, Pomers, Marsh and Ronchi) :thumbsu:

Then all it would need to make the fab five is Geeves.

I think you'll find those 5 will all get plenty of chances in future. Some extremely promising talent there... And a bit of personality too, which would be a nice change.

Out: Hayden, White, Watson, Siddle, Haddin
In: Ronchi, Marsh, Tait, Cullen/Hilfenhaus*, Symonds

Batting order:
Hayden
Marsh
Ponting
Clarke
Hussey
Symonds
Ronchi
Lee
Tait
Cullen/Hilfenhaus*
Johnson

* Not sure if either Cullen or Hilfenhaus is ready for the call up, but I'd lean towards having a strike bowler rather than a green spinner.

I hope your right.

Geeves would be a laugh to have on the team for the other guys.

bollinger sucks

Well I guess it's time to admit I was wrong here.

His record has been good, but I tend to think he is overrated, Mitchell Johnson gets caned on here (and in the commentary box) for getting lots of "lucky" wickets from bad balls wide of off stump, yet Bollinger is basically doing the exact same thing yet they all love him for it.
