What more can I say......
Trading John McCarthy for John Blakey has to be the most one sided trades in the games history. McCarthy did nothing for Fitzroy, while Blakey's played 189 games, won two premierships and has become an inspiration for every new recruit that has set foot through the Arden Street doors.

I beg to differ Devo. McCarthy did do something for Fitzroy - he upset a lot of people there and was an extremely disruptive influence.
I will admit to being a big Blakey fan.

every North fan loves Blakey and the way he plays, but he deserves more recognition beyond our club.
It's about time the club put a submission to the the AFL to rename the Michael Tuck Medal.
Tucky was great, but he no longer holds the record. It should go to Blakey until another champion claims his piece of history.
