All,
Just wanted to get a rough idea on Arrivals and Departures from clubs at this stage?
All the recruiting is into full swing and this thread could be somewhere you can talk about recruits and departures and get a summary of whos going where ect.

Heath Barton & Ben Ryan to depart from the Swans apparently and maybe Warburton and White?
What sort of a player is Heath Barton?

quality player although seemed to be injured a fair bit in the last couple of years.
Is super fit, that might be his problem.
Has an enormous kick as well. Will be a handy signing for Numerkah.

No but his brother-in-law signed with the club last week. He is a multiple B&F winner in the Western Region Football League in Melbourne.

If he has signed then u would be a big chance to get cloke.

For Travvy (a fair chance you will know him)-his name is Justin Dorward and I think that Jason Cloke would be thinking of playing with him at some stage ........just not sure when or where;)

Congratulations on the signing and even better i guess if you get his cousin. HAs been a solid onballer during my time in the WRFL. Wins his own ball and has a pretty good tank on him which will suit the bigger GV grounds. Played a bit off half back this year too i believe.

Thanks travvy-its a start and we probably need to add another 5 or 6 to be pushing deep in September. He fits the need of an on-baller but more importantly a quality person that has moved to town. Clayton Zanella a young ruckman has also signed -he played in the thirds premiership in 08. Obviously if Durie,Sutton,Butler and Crossman came back that would help also!

Didn't set the world on fire at Leitchy tho did he??

I think he was second or third in the b&F but would be a handy pick up. He may stay at Gunny anyway but would be very welcome back at Echuca.

Fair enough, that is a good year. Just didn't notice him when we played them. Was probably too busy worrying about every other bastard running around:thumbsu:
Heard Benalla have acquired 2 ruckmen, one from Sydney and one from Melb, don't have names tho

With Williamstown now out of the VFL finals, when will Echuca be announcing the new recruit? I have heard that him and his brother-in-law were a package deal.

Yze has another year as assistant coach at box hill and has one year left in his contract.
Robertson has indicated he will go in the draft so dont believe it is going to happen imo

Isn't this the club who were crying poor this year and had to force the players to take a pay cut. This is very typical of the Swans.
The fact is they have done this so many times over the last 20 years and what do they have to show for it. One grand final appearance.

Friday's Riverine Herald revealed Echuca has signed SANFL Port Adelaide Magpies Brad Murray (vice captain there for 2 years and B&F winner 2009)and Joel Perry (leading goalkicker 2009 and previously on North Melbourne list- played 8 games for Roos). Also four time club best and fairest from Western District Football League Justin Dorward, returning star key position Jamus Campbell and devaloping young key postion/ruckman Clayton Zanella.
More big signings to be announced in the next week- some big things ahead at the Bombers by the looks of it.:thumbsu:
Most sides appear to have picked up some quality recruits. I was wondering if Benalla have secured the services of any players at this stage?
