Watched this last night on Fox last night. Should have been a glorious victory but Elomar's supporters, about 20 of them rushed into the ring and caused a riot.
Elomar himself showed no restraint and joined in. The sport has enough problems getting mainstream coverage with out his type of thing. The fighter should have his licence revoked and sent packing. Also his sycophantic warrior boys need to have a long hard look at themselves.

Yeah, terrible scenes.
Before the count had even finished, Elomar supporters were alreayd in the ring. Not good when Kickett needed medical attention. Next thing u know, supporters of both camps are at it with chairs n bottles going back n forth.
Gotta say, props to Billy Hussein, Elomars trainer, who was the first to attend to kickett to make sure he was okay.

Fight night ends in disgrace

November 08, 2008 AUSTRALIAN boxing descended into disgrace Friday night when chairs and bottles were hurled into the ring after a wild brawl among supporters of two leading Australian fighters.
Televised live on Fox Sports from Central Coast Leagues Club, the telecast was cut short when a fight erupted shortly after the finish of the main event between Ahmed Elomar and Willie Kickett.
The crowd exploded after Elomar knocked out Kickett with a straight right hand towards the end of the first round their superfeatherweight fight for Kickett's WBO Asia Pacific Youth and IBF Pan Pacific Youth titles.
As Elomar celebrated the shock win, his corner and supporters in the crowd stormed the ring to celebrate.
Elomar's supporters were involved in a similarly disgraceful incident when Ahmed's brother Mohammed was disqualified for persistent low blows in Brisbane last year.
Their behaviour on Friday night was insensitive, over the top and, quite quickly, inflammatory.
Kickett's supporters appeared shocked and angry at their insensitivity as they celebrated over the top of the prostrate Kickett.
Referee Brad Griffiths was forced to push the celebrators back as it appeared as they might carelessly trample right over the troubled Kickett.
After walking into a beautiful punch that ended the fight, Kickett was clearly concussed and unable to lift more than his head from the canvas.
Elomar's trainer Billy Hussein was trying to keep them back, clearing enough space so a doctor could get in to treat Kickett.
Hussein could also be seen grabbing Elomar's supporters to get them out of the ring.
Contacted by phone shortly after the fight, Hussein was not willing to comment, saying only that it was "just a small mix-up".
However, television pictures painted a far different story.
As the celebrations continued, it appeared heated words were soon exchanged between Elomar's supporters in the ring and Kickett's supporters outside it.
Then a chair was launched into the ring.
It then erupted into a full-blown brawl, with chairs and water bottles hurled through the air.
Several times Fox Sports commentator Andy Raymond announced that Fox Sports would cut short its telecast, ending the show before even a replay of Elomar's stunning knockout punch could be aired.
Some Elomar supporters appeared to be antagonising the Kickett supporters from the ring.
Fight promoter Angelo Hyder did not have his mobile phone on after the brawl.
Kickett appeared in total control throughout most of the first round, rattling Elomar with lefts and rights as he appeared to be on his way to a comfortable victory.
But he has a careless habit of dropping his hands in a fight and it came back to hurt him in the worst way. Tipped as a future world title holder, it was Kickett's first loss.

Hopefully Elomar is banned from boxing for life. Funny thing is before the knockout Kickett was destroying Elomar. The guy was getting cained and just happened to land a fluke.

As being there at the night and a witness of how it all started here is my recount:
It first started is when Kicket was knocked down they all rushed into the ring. Credit to Billy Hussesin helping Kicket but his supporters were jeering the crowd with gestures and spat on some of the crowd. than a guy threw beer at a guy at hussy's camp.
After that the mayhem truly broke lose with some people running out of the ring trying to punch on with some of the crowd. Innoncent people got hurt like the ringside doctor got hit with a glass cutting him as well as Angelo Hyder's wife being hit on the head with a can. Elomar should be stripped of his titles for this reason as he threw a stool at the crowd as well but looks like he'll get away with it as the police will only review Fox sports cameras and what elomar did happened after the camera's went off air.
Luckily I was above doing the spotlight so I had perfect view of seeing what was actually happened. I was tihnking about recording it on my camera phone but didn't want to draw attention to myself and other people who were up there with me. There was a camera man next to me so hopefully he has evidence to make Elomar suspended.
Saddest Day in Aussie Boxing History and I had to witness it in the flesh :(

Banned for life? Mate you are an idiot, You have no clue the guys knocks out his oponent has some fans run in and he should be banned? So mundine should be banned 2 because thats happend plenty of times, I was there mate it wasnt his fans that wernt throwing chairs and bottles into the ring while kicket was still in it, that was the kicket fans .. Kicket was k.od theres no such thing as a fluke kicket has himself to blame for having his guard down, Boxing is not just attack its about how you defend to, Take those bias goggles off, Its a shame that his fans couldnt hack it.

I have no issue with the Elomar win. After watching boxing for over 30 years I have seen this before. A young up and comer gets exposed for whatever the reason. But Elomar is at his very best is maybe a national title holder and of course one of these 2 bob regional titles that he apparently won last night. If he fights anyone remotely world class he will get smashed. He was as slow as a statue as Kickett was exposing and he not that great a puncher either. Check his record. Kickett unfortunately for him walked right into it and also listen to his head hit the canvass. That would not have helped. As much as Elomar has a right to celebrate his sycophantic supporters acted like a bunch imbeciles and he did to. Most of the time the winner goes over to the loser to check his well being. I have no issue with the win nor the fact that he is not banned, not that that worries me as I will not be watching him. Your right I should not have brought up his nationality but I have to admit that there is seemingly trouble at a few nights that he and his crew are at. Tell me this. Why, as a friend told me when he attended the Mohamed fight in Brisbane, did the Elomar's crew keep going on about "Aussies respecting us"? It seems to me that they are the ones who keep bringingg up race. Mate I tell you in all seriousness I could not care less, I like a good boxing match and have done ever since I watched Ali for the first time when I was a kid but these blokes have gotta get the chip of their shoulder and I for one like the sport enough not to see it die in this country. If Fox pull out we are stuffed. No more Fist magazine etc. There are hardly any fights in Brisbane now. Gees mate I was a regular at Festival Hall and I miss it. These people have to understand that they have some obligation. They need to look at what the Bohol stable is about.
