On another thread, many posters are expecting us to appear in the finals next year. To do so would obviously mean displacing one of this year's finalists.
So who do you expect to finish in the top eight season and why?
Discounting possible injuries, difficult to see any of this year's top 4 missing out.

I don't think Collingwood will make Top 4. I predict around 7th.
I don't think Melbourne or the Kangaroos will make the finals. To possibly be replaced by the Bulldogs and Carlton :). Big maybe on both.

I don't think Melbourne or the Kangas wil be in the finals next year. And i have my doubts about Essendon. (please, please, please!)
I wouldn't think that Carlton will bounce back too quickly. A few scrawny 17 yr olds in the draft will not make them a start team by next season.

Pardon me, not long ago you said the Bulldogs would finish last?

Yes, that is why I added a smilie to the post. I doubt that Carlton and Bulldogs will make the finals. Would love one of them to, though!

What about a few players like Koutoufides and the like?
Time will tell either way...

I wouldn't be grouping us with Carlton buddy, I think you'll find we'll finish a minimum of 4 spots higher then your lads. Carlton will not finish higher then 11th

Are you saying that Kotoufides wouldn't add to the club...You are basing this on the form of a year where he played about 3 injury ravaged games

I wouldn't group us with you either, because I think that you wont finish above Carlton period, but there is no point in arguing about the future, because neither of us can see into it...

But does he need to be? With the same list give or take in 2001, we finished 5th. If we are well coached and get some new blood and old blood back from injury, we might not be so bad. Not great, but we may make the finals

In my humble opinion, Kouta, who at one stage was a fine footballer will be a shadow of his former self.
Unfortunatly, given the amount of competitive football he's missed over the years, i can't see him ammounting my much. Could be wrong, just my opinion.

Nah man, Carlton made an inspired decision signing him to bazillion dollars a year...just cos he is costing about 200,000plus a game on last season don't mean he ain't worth it.
