Highway robbery. Even their biggest fans would realise that they are not worth those prices.

Over $400 for a concert? Bugger that, these blokes are already multi millionaires.

I still marvel at the fact that I saw Pantera for 60 bucks, and they were awesome seats!

BWAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Tickets for their 2001 "farewell tour #37" were 2 for the price pf one, at $92 and get one free.

Four fat old zillionaires in black and silevr jumpsuits playing 3 and 1/ 2minute pop songs. Almost cheaper to get Rupert Murdoch, Kerry Packer, Richard Pratt and The Queen (Paul Stanley?) to dab on the make up for one last dig at the cash!

I cant believe I saw the Ramones, with the Hard-Ons and the New Christs for around $30 back in 1991. Gone are those days.

I hate Paul Stanley and if I could shoot him I'd pay the $400. ;)

Yeah they are gone for two very good reasons(R.I.P Joey and Dee Dee:( )
GREAT gig - GREAT line up - GREAT price !!!!
Speaking of great prices(value etc: ) wasn't the first BDO that toured nationally(not the Sydney one with the Femmes and Nirvana)in the region of $50 - $60 per ticket???
Even we you consider that was a decade ago that was still superb value when you look at the line up.Nick Cave,Iggy Pop,Sonic Youth,Mudhoney(and some hacks called "where's the pope?";) ) and many more.
If Kiss can get their fans to pay those sort of prices good luck to them personally if they we're playing in my garden I'd close the curtains. As for the Mc Cartney prices the thing that makes me sick is that we(Victorian taxpayers)are subsidizing it!

They can go & get ****ed.

Joke of a band. End it in 1997 with a little bit of credibility remaining, NO you just continue on & flog it until it's WAY WAY WAY past its expiry date.

Good call, the 1997 reunion concert was fantastic! They could have called that their farewell tour and gone out with a bang but instead decided to milk it for all it was worth. I saw them last year and felt ripped off AND I had cheap tickets.

Jeez that's rich.

I'm trying hard to get some cheapies off a connection who has medallian membership. Might even try pulling a string or two with C1/Collo. There's no way I can afford $300 a ticket, and for this type of concert I just wouldnt want to be up in the top stands.

All right ... I think I can trump the lot of you.

I saw Led Zeppelin in 1972 and it cost ... wait for it ... $4.20

By the way ... that is the truth.

The previous year I saw Deep Purple, Manfred Mann, The Free and Fraternity (with Bon Scott on vocals) all on the same bill ... The price was $2.60

OK ... OK ... I know there's a thing called inflation ... but the fact is, in those days an album used to cost about $6. So it actually cost less to see these big name bands in concert than it did to buy a record. A Led Zeppelin concert back then cost about two thirds of the price of a Led Zeppelin album.

It just seems insane to spend hundreds of dollars to see a concert, which will be a mere memory the next day, when you could buy an album that you can play forever for $30 or so.

Perhaps if bands spent less money on the pyrotechnics and assorted gimmickry and just played their bloody music, their fans might be able to get to see them at an affordable price. Most of the money ends up going to pay for an army of roadies, light riggers and assorted hangers-on.

I'm not paying $500 to listen to a whole lot of wannabes going "check ... one ... two".

I laughed earlier in the week when i read Paul Stanley's quote "we've never let our fans down........." yeah sure Paul,

I saw KISS at VFL Park 1980 with my older brother and his girlfriend. I remember him complaining it "cost a fortune" at $ 45 for 3 tickets. Whats worse, we were right up the top of the Members Stand looking at four dots on a stage, the band played very poorly, and there was a terrible echo around the stadium.
I never spent anything on the huge letdown that was KISS after that night.

I have some friends who spent a weeks wage to see the "final ever show" last year, only to feel let-down and disappointed with their performance. Needless to say, they're forking out ridiculous wads of cash for the privelige of saying goodbye (again) on their "farewell' show this time around.

KISS are a joke.........

Oops,
That should read: Needless to say, they're NOT forking out riciulous wads of cash for the privelige of saying goodbye (again) on their "farewell" show this time around.
