Who is the better player? I haven't seen Wells play, so can't compare them myself. But these two players have been talked up similarly in the last two years, both considered to have good silky skills, clean hands, quick, good footy brains but lacking a bit physically.

So by what everyone's seen in the WAFL, which is the better player?

Sampi is not bad, but you aren't a runner up in the Sandover Medal at 17 for nothing.

Wells in a walkover at present.

Too early to tell. Both have a lot of physical maturation ahead of them.

If the hype on Wells is anything to go by, I think Wells.

Have to agree with you Kenny. Wells seems to be the duck's nuts at the moment. However, I would not write Sampi off, for I think this guy is gonna be big for the Coasters.

They seem very different players to me.

Wells looks taller and more athletic (in terms of leap etc), while Sampi is shorter and seems to pick the ball up off the ground a bit better.

I rate Sampi, he went at #6 and I think some of our fellow WCE fans have thought he to be a bit of a failure because he didn't have the impact of Judd. But you have to remember Judd would have gone at #1 the year before if he didn't have the shoulder injuries.

I picked dont know....because I havent seen enough of either to comment. I think Sampi will be very good for us though and in his few games last season, he showed plenty of promise and picked up a few BFWCPOTY votes.

It's weird...I love Footy at the highest level and I LOVE the West Coast Eagles and enjoy watching other AFL games between two sides i dont even support.

But i just cant get into the WAFL. Dont watch it and I dont really care about it. The only thing i watch for is how the Eagles did in the reserves...thats it.

Weird...

I am sort of the same. I can watch the odd game in the WAFL, but don't follow it rigoursly. I more or less watch every single AFL game during the year.

I"m a bit the opposite. I have mates who play in an amateur side (B Grade) so I love following them (I try and get to each of their home games), I love East Freo and try and get their games at least 3 or 4 times a year, and of course I get to all West Coast games that I am financial to get too (plus the beers at JB O'Reilly's before and afterwards.

I used to watch every AFL game on TV but I struggle these days. The Mrs has always got something on, so I generally get my fix from the Dockers and Eagles games (I never miss either - I make sure I take time out to watch both so I get to see four sides each week - and occasionally I cheer for Freo, mainly against Collingwood, Essendon and co.)

I'm a bit disspaointed with myself at times because I don't know some of the younger players of the teams we are playing against, but I guess I'm happy to support local footy.

How many AFL games would you see a week?

I dont have Fox Footy but as you know we get good coverage of almost every game in Perth. I never usually miss Friday Night Footy, whoever is playing, I usually watch it. Of course i watch the Eagles game and usually the Dockers game. Sometimes catch a game on sunday or saturday arvo.

On average i would probably see 4 games a weekend. Different teams every week so i keep up to date with all the new players etc..

I believe Sampi had the best recorded leap at last years Draft Camp.
