There's this whole article (http://www.realfooty.theage.com.au/articles/2002/10/25/1035504883962.html) about todays trades and at the end there's this quote:
"The Eagles will seek talks with Andrew Williams"
The bottome 6 paragraphs are worth reading in the lead up to the above quote. Its pretty weird, Woosha is willing to trade Williams away but not Embley? Could it be that Embley's trade value is too low?

The fact that theyre seeking talks could also indicate a willingness to trade Williams, but only with his expressed consent over a possible return to Victoria.
Im suspecting the club did the same with Wirrpunda, as Worsfold stated on TV " He told me he wants to stay at West Coast". If Williams is keen to move home maybe only then will they use him to bargain with.

Williams for Adkins would be pretty fair, maybe slightly favouring WC. Adkins is pretty highly spoken of down at magpie land.

Which player DON'T Magpie fans speak highly of.. only the ones that leave their team.
How is Embley off limits yet were willing to trade Williams??
I hope we dont trade him, I like him.
I rate Williams higher than Embley, if we were to think about trading anyone it should be Embley

Problem with that is every other AFL club agrees. The other problem is most other clubs dont rate Embley at all. Of course i'd rather see Embley be traded than Williams too. Williams should only be traded if its for the improvement of the team.

Fair enough - although i wouldnt be surprised if Williams requests to be traded. He's usually given very little game time and if he doesnt do well is dropped to the WAFL while Embley and Co retain their spot in the side, even after playing like ****.

Yes he's copped the rough end of the pineapple a few times this season in that respect. Wouldnt surprise me if he wanted to return home.

Umm yes and no.
He was great in 2000.
2001 was out of the whole season with OP.
2002 was in the reserves for all but 2 or 3 games and only showed some promise.
The potential is there but he will need to dig deep.

Adkins played quite well against us this year at Subi..
But I rate Williams quite high, and we already have an abundance of midfielders...
However would not be too concerned if he was traded in a deal for Woewodin..

Wouldn't be a big loss if we do lose Williams. Played some shocking games for West Perth and struggled to be consistant with the Eagles. Still, would hate to give him away for nothing. Maybe Williams & 3rd draft pick for Corey?
this embley thing is wierd.
i think that nearly every poster on big footy would rate williams over embley but woosha has talked embley up all year.
