With just a bit over one and a half days left and the Doggies not is a position to grab a big name, does anyone think that we will actually grab a player and if so who do you think they could target ?
If French goes to Carlton I doubt that even Brogan would be released by Port.
I think we might give up one or two players for draft picks but thats about all. I would like the Doggies to make at least some effort to trade for a player or two to help fill our needs but it is looking doubtful

The doggies have expressed interest in Ben Kinnear. It appears Collingwood would consider offloading Ben in exchange for Matthew Robbins.
Fot those of you who do not know Ben, he is a strong 190cm+ CHB who was unlucky not to have played in Collingwoods grand final side this year.
Personally I would prefer to release Alvey before Robbins?
What do other "poosties" think???

God help us. Neither.
Kinnear's a bonafide superhack, and I'll fair dinkum tear up my (2002) membership if that trade goes through.
And who you calling a "poostie"?? :D

The Doggies don't need Kinnear and Alvey and Robbins are better players

I personally hope we do not pick up Kinnear as I do not rate him as well.
This info is from a reliable source, though the deal is not certain to go through.
"Ade re", you should not have replied!:D
PS I knew you were from the same background Westy.

I'm no poostie Malaka.
Kinnear unlucky not to get in grand final?????? Maybe McGough, Richardson but not Kinnear.
This is the guy that was blasted for some terrible passes in the Carlton game they lost.
Neither Alvey or Robbins for Kinnear.

I'd get rid of Robbo first. He's younger and has had far less chances than Robbins. Robbin's has had a long time to prove himself and still hasn't

What do other "poosties" think??? I cannot believe the way we negotiate during trade time.I reckon we would be the only club the pies would dare ask for such an outrageous trade. If we were to be shopping Robbins around then we should be having a crack at a guy like Molloy or even a one of there young talls on the fringe who have clear potential (talking guys like Davidson and Richards).Kinnear has played one or two handy games and has been unable to produce at even a semi regular basis. It would be disastrous to off load probably our most intense player around the ball for someone who has not shown a great deal of potential.
P.S-Kinnear did play a good game against us in 2001 which may be influencing there judgement.I would only off load a late draft pick for someone who really is only going to be for tall man depth.
