Quote from tomorrows Age.

"The Kangaroos were working on a deal with Port Adelaide and Fremantle that would send defender Byron Pickett and midfielder Stuart Cochrane to Port, Fremantle defender Leigh Brown and Port mid-fielder Michael Stevens to Arden Street and selection 15 in the national draft to Fremantle."

Browny for pick 15? Is this a fall back plan by Freo if the Essendon, Brissy three-way fails for Headland? (ie. picks 5 and 15 to Brissy?).

If they trade Browny then I'm gonna be ****ed! The guy shows loyalty and this is what we do!

Yeah I think Freo are the biggest losers out of that trade.

Caracella has agreed to go Brisbane, so the Headland deal will go through.

The Brown deal was going to be as a back up in case it didn't, but it looks as the deall will still go through to free up some room in the salary cap.

To be honest, I wouldn't be overly dissapointed if we traded Brown but you would hope to get more than #15 for him.

This is hte main reason I am not over the moon about securing Headland.
Loyalty aside he is worth more than 15th pick and the only way I would trade him if it involved geting wells.

Looks like it's all over folks.

Basically you get Headland for 5, 21 and McPhee.

Not bad IF Headland delivers for you...but just remember he won't have Voss, Black, Lappin and Co. to deliver to him OR to take tags for him.

Anyway, all the best to Des and Freo....hope he lives up to all you expect from him.

He kinda became a bit of a favorite in Brisbane.

Oh well, life goes on.

this is ****ed leigh brown showed loyalty to the club and will most likely still improve and all we get is pick number 15 in that deal we deserved more.

Ouch! Didn't Brown take a pay-cut so Longmuir, Haselby and Pavlich could remain at the club?

Stab in the back if you ask me!

In the cold hard light of day the following could of happened with Brownie :-

1. Stay and be on the borderline, probably play the majority of games in the WAFL.

2. Go to the Roos who need big players to rebuild with, be assured a game in the AFL.

It was a hard decision for the club, but instead of Brownies career stalling, the RAC have come and restarted it.

Don't recall asking you, you lemon - if you wish to discuss stabs in the back, remind me how your 2-time premiership captains career ended will you?

Run along back to your forum now, there's a good lad.

Ended??? It's still going strong. He's just moved up to the coaches box now.

Is that the best you've got?

Was Brown on the borderline for Freo? I thought he was a good player and would of been a walk-in position as the spare man in defence.

Fair point for #2 - Kangas need big men to replace Martyn and McCarthy.

There was a growing group who wanted Browny dropped to the WAFL last season. Connolly stated that he would develop more in the AFL than by playing WAFL. Polak and McPharlin also never played in the same backline and will next season and it would have been at the expense of Browny.

Sorry Buzz, chuck a playing in front of it, I thought a man of your undoubted intelligence would be able to pick that up - my bad.
Is that the best you've got?
Hell no, just with your mother's constant phone calls, I've been distracted recently, apologosies for the low quality. ;)

Clearly Buzz, his mother is _very_ satisfied.
