He wore no 2 at Collingwood, but will he be given the no 2 at West Coast?

Chick and Adkin's profiles are already up on the West Coast website. Their jumpers are listed as nos 2 & 17 respectively, but I wouldn't read much into that because both Hawthorn and Collingwood's sites are run by Telstra as well. It is the same profile they had at their previous clubs.

So,

1) do you think Adkins will get the no 2?
2) do you think Adkins should get the no 2?
3) do you think Chick will get the no 17?
4) do you think Chick should get the no 17?

I'm thinking yes on all counts. Not a convincing yes, but still a yes.

no 17. yes it is time for it ti come out of retirement and yes to chick wearing it.

no 2. kemp retired after the 2000 season? i think that it should be kept out for another year and then if adkins as shown potential, even in the WAFL he can have it.

I think #2 should either remain aside for 2003 or be given to a player who's been with us for a while and has been showing a bit(Huntaaaaaaa perhaps?). Think Adkins will need to prove himself before we give him one of the club's marquee numbers.

Probably about time #17 was brought out of retirement though, and I'd hope Chick can live up to it.

i've got a strong feeling that these jumber numbers are not offical but just ripped from the other AFL sites. They probably use a common database for this info.

Adam Hunter, what a player, but more importantly what a great name :D

Chick probably deserves Mckenna's old number offhand, but I'd prefer another season before we gave Adkins the #2. There are others who deserve it more, and if nothing else we should give him a year or so and see how he goes before giving it to him on a plate.

Chick is getting Bluey's 17, according to Ch 10, and I think he is deserving of it.

Adkins has not earned his 2 yet.

Adkins shouldnt wear number 2 just yet if at all. The number should stay retired for another year and then we can go from there. Chick deserves the number 17 as he is a great player in his own right so who better to take over from Bluey.

I wonder when we will ever see someone in #24??

Adkins has not earned his 2 yet. Changed my mind. I will go with this one. No point in giving Adkins the no 2 if he ends up being a dud.

I'd say we should give Chick the #17 jumper, but maybe we need to give Adkins a chance to wear a jumper that will be uniquely his. Whats the lowest number jumper that has never been worn in a VFL/AFL game for us?

47 - I asked this in the trivia thread. Probably not a particularly attractive number.

We've got 8, 12 and 21 vacant now with retirements.

And 16 now apparently

Give Chick #17 but let Adkins have a different number, #2 is not ready to be given out yet;)

Like to see Reid move up the list and maybe give Adkins the No36

Apparently he is good with the ladies, perhaps #69 would be appropriate :D
